I think it's a SY8386B chip - 3.3v fixed voltage converter. Datasheet isn't available and hence i can't provide one. There is datasheet for SY8386R but the pin out has many differences. You may find another schematic which uses this IC and cross check to match. However, a short in 3.3v can kill the PCHA/SoC easily. Check the coil resistance first for short....

It's G9661 by GMT company. I think used to generate 2.5v in this board

In my experience, any low value resistor will work (max up to 10 ohm). Since the original schematic and/or datasheet is unavailable, we can only make educated guesses here. The other board which i referred used 10 ohm resistor in that connection. So it's definitely safe to use that....

The IC in question is G5388 which is specifically designed for generating DDR Memory VDDQ and VTT voltages. I couldn't find a datasheet but pin 9 of this chip is VCC (5V) and the resistor in question is connected to it. I guess it's a low value current limiting resistor connected between the 5v supply and the IC VCC pin (act as a sort of fuse. Generally between 2.2 to 10 ohm). If it's heats, then there should be a short or leak in it's output side for sure. Usually it will be either the decoupling capacitor or the IC itself. You have to try and figure out which one. After replacing the shorted...

I read your post. From what i understood, your machine is having a LID/HAL sensor problem. You don't need a schematic to figure this out. Try removing the HAL sensor first. I don't have the board with me. But i found an image and marked what i think should be the LID sensor for you....1 Photo

Re: Schematic request.
855 downloads and it took two year for someone to figure out that the schematic is completely different.
I couldn't locate a schematic for this in paid sites either. All are renamed schematic for Vegas_Turis Kabylake and Skylake versions. If you can find a link for proper schematic, send in PM (as links to commercial sites are prohibited). I will try to get it....

Re: Csl50-csl52 la-e801p rev2
It's not the difference between Rev 1 and 2. Exact schematic for LA-E801P is still not publicly available. The schematic on that posts is for reference only. It won't completely match with Rev 1 either. However that one was enough for diagnostic purpose....

Re: Need schematic DAG3DCMBCC0
You have to properly clean the burned area and remove any residue carbon before fixing the capacitor. Assuming that no other parts are faulty and no critical internal layer tracks are damaged by the burning, the board is more likely to work. To find out the value, remove one of the parallel capacitor and measure it's capacitance using the meter. They are usually of same value....

Re: Schematics DAG35DMBADO HP Omen 15-ax205ns
It's GMT G5619 chip. Specifically designed for DDR voltage generation. If the PWM Mosfet of RAM power rail is short, there is a great chance for either the RAM module or the CPU (RAM supply goes directly to the CPU also) became defective. Measure the memory power rail resistance (output of the coil) in reference to GND and make sure that it's not short, before attempting to replace the components....Last edited by anshad; 02-07-2023, 09:40 AM.

Re: Asus UM433D - UX434DA
That doesn't make any sense. What you short in ThinkPad laptops is not the BIOS chip but a security EEPROM chip. By shorting the chip, you are essentially preventing the BIOS from reading the chip and hence the hack works. In your case, the chip you were referring is a BIOS chip. Shorting it's pins should have prevented the system from reading the BIOS code and one should expect no POST as a result. Shorting the BIOS chip prevented the system from exclusively reading the password part but has no problem reading the rest of the BIOS code...

Re: Need schematic HP crescent-6050a3022501-mb-a01 Elitebook 840 G6
It's your information which is obsolete mate. The "CAD" here is type GenCAD and a free viewer is available for a long time.
