So I have this Gigabyte RX Vega 56 8Gig that has a open capacitor near the VRM's. The capacitor is visibly damaged. It seems the schematic and boardview for it is not available.
Does someone happen to have one to check the capacitance of that cap?
C708 as in the picture. Unfortunaly the original backplate with the stickers on is not with the card so I can't tell the exact model....
So i've been attempting to clean the bios myself and found out that the original board for my laptop had a insyde bios. One of my original troubleshooting steps was downloading a bios from here which was in retrospect a mistake since it seems not all probook 650's had insyde. I fixed the hardware issues on the motherboard but it still wouldn't work which is why I ordered a replacement motherboard. I'd like to try to flash the original board with the proper bios but I lost my original dump and need to go with a fresh bios. I'm stuck extracting the bios since it has two .fd files and both files...
Can someone help with bios repair. I made a mistake and installed this working motherboard's bios chip on another motherboard that will not power on and when I put the bios chip back the "working" board will not post. Caps lock blinking 3 times and fan spins up to high rpm.
This is a used motherboard I ordered from Ali Express so the serial will not match the board.
Hello friends.
I'm looking for a schematic or a parts list to go with above posted boardview. My board charge controller is damaged. It's marked TPS65988 but the one with CE suffix I ordered is the wrong package size so I need a proper ID on the chip.
I managed to loose the broken one so I can't measure it.
Can someone assist with a clean bios or a bios dump for this laptop?
When pressing the power button the led blinks once then goes off for 2 seconds then comes back on to standby. I've checked for shorts in the usual places and didn't find any so i'd like to try the bios.
Thanks again friend. I got time to look at the board yesterday and got it working. It's not pretty due to pad damage but it works.
Had to remove/destroy one ram slot to get to the area due not having the right tool for such fine work but i'll order a new one and replace it....
I have a Asus X553SA board with a missing resistor on VCC_SVID_CLK numbered R1015. The boardview doesn't seem to give the ohms value of the resistor. Can someone assist with the ohms value?
So I have this ASUS K52JK which cpu overheats seconds after power on even while idling at the bios menu. The laptop works although it does throttle the cpu.
I was attempting to clean the bios and accidentally lost my original bios dump.K52JR found on badcaps does work but has the same issue with cpu overheating.
Can anyone post a bios dump for this laptop?
I have this oldie i'm trying to revive. It turns on for about 2 minutes then the fans ramp up to max rpm and the pc shuts down so I think it's a corrupt bios that getting false positive for a thermal event.
Can someone assist or post a fresh bios?
Thanks in advance.

Board model: IS6XM REV 1.0...
I have a Kyocera M2535dn that was given to me to dispose of but before i do i thought i'd try to revive it.
It gives an error f246 which appears to be a general mainboard error and since the firmware chip is socketed i reckoned I might as well try the long hanging fruit first so to speak.
Anybody can help with firmware for this printer or maybe give me some clues where to look?
I've poked around the board looking for shorts or anything else obvious but didn't find anything as obvious as a dead short or blown component....
I would like to share something with everyone that might end up here looking for bios help on the Asus UX490U laptop. I have only the CH341 programmer with the green board so not sure if this will apply to other programmers.
The 25Q64JVIQ bios chip on this laptop has a large ground/thermal pad underneath that is wider than the gap between the row of pin pads on my CH341 programmer so 100% sure the pins will short to ground and it made me get all FF readings from the chip or the software reported it's in protected mode. At first i thought...
