by jetuaime81I have a nacon controller which has some fancy RGB ring (4 RGB LEDs). 3 of 4 leds are not good and I am looking for a replacement. The size I measured is 3mm x 2.5mm and it seems a 3528 led would fit fine, and it's in common anode. But I am not sure what wattage it is. I have attached photos of led and driver ic (ak63rq1 I think).
Also one of the triggers is malfunctioning sometimes, I don't know what these pots are called. I measured across the 1st and last legs (in circuit) seems to be 1.1kohm pot. I found some xbox controllers have this but they are 10k. Any info?...06-05-2024, 08:28 PM -

by swergHey everyone,
I'm a novice trying to repair my laptop. The LCD screen has an image, but no LED backlight for the image. It also produces an image when connected to an external monitor.
I have found what I believe to be a blown inductor labeled "L4502" and "120 Ohm" in the schematics (zoomed in image, blue arrow to blown component). I have included an image of the general area of the mobo and an excerpt from the schematics as well.
I am having trouble selecting a replacement component, which I believe to be a 120 Ohm ferrite bead, from the components...Yesterday, 03:39 PM -
by dr.thodtFor the second time this week I received a Lenovo laptop with onboard ram and one sodimm slot. Both laptops run stable from their onboard 4GB RAM, but turn out to be very unstable when there's a sodimm inserted in the slot.
Both times it was a GS44D/GS54D NM-C711 rev 1.0 board.
Both times there were no loose pins on the slot and it did not matter what sodimm I put in. It just artefacts and crashes randomly when there's extra ram.
What I did notice is that almost all coils have very dirty phases one the mosfet side when checked with an oscilloscope. Not something I see very often....Today, 09:16 AM -

i have a problem to a1706
First of all, it was delivered because the power was not turned on.
5v was confirmed on the voltage meter.
The battery was removed and checked.
A short was confirmed in the ppvin_g3h_p3v3g3h line.
During the tracking process, u7000 and d6902 were replaced and u6903 was reballed.
The cause was c7081, and when I removed it, the short went away.
However, 5v still came out from the voltage switch, and I confirmed that a short was coming out of the l6900....Today, 09:06 AM -
by r1kkuHello, I have an MacBook Pro 2019 A2159 but the Touch Bar touchscreen is not working.
I disassembled the laptop and I saw that L5100 is burned, I removed it and I connected that rail and it seems to be working. It's a problem if I leave it like this? Or I need to install a new inductor?Today, 09:04 AM -
by CrystaleyesHi all.
Recently I picked up a vintage HP 37717B communications analyzer which uses one of these MML200 Coutant power supplies. Needless to say the PSU is not working, and surprisingly there is apparently nothing available on the web regarding repairing one of these. No stories, no schematics, zilch!
There are however many companies offering repair 'services', however I don't have the luxury of sending it off, so am intending to do the repair myself.
I admit right now that I am no expert on smps repair, although I do have a grasp on the principle of the general...5 Photos05-29-2024, 08:23 PM

by martin86Hi,
i had a HP 640 G8 with a DA0X8AMB8E0 Board. I would Flash the BIOS, but i used a CH341A Programmer with 5V instead auf 3,3. Then I thought the BIOS was now defective. I have already replaced it with a new one (flashed the same BIOS).
With the new chip, the notebook has the same error. The charging port lights up once and then goes out again. The notebook does nothing more.
I iced the board with a cooling spray to possibly find a chip that gets hot or has a short circuit. Unfortunately, I didn't find any. I suspect a fuse might have blown. Does anyone...Today, 02:47 AM -

by s_henyaHi guys,
Just found this old but nice IMac 2012.
current user had a password which i dont know.
i want to format it and do a clean IOS installation.
i tried command. + R after powering on but it didn’t do anything and IOS continued to load.
i tried the online recovery but it gave me denied icon after connecting to the Wifi.
is there any working method to format it?
guess i can take the long way of ordering the prying tools and format the hdd using another pc.
but i was hoping for another quicker solution....Today, 06:37 AM -
by abajorI have this 1707 with the 5V 0A power loop issue on 3 of the jacks.
One of the CD3215C00 had corrosion under one side U3100 to be precise.
This USB jack was drawing ~.2A and not boot looping.
After replacing the CD3215 I am having an odd problem. I can rotate the USB-C and it only works in one orientation. And now it boot cycles, like the other usb channels so I'm part way there.
After looking at the schematic and board view. It makes very little sense that this is happening since they both pin 59 and pin 60 both go to the same places on J3300.
