Hello, gentlmen!!!
My HP Probook 430 g2 does not detect battery. I tested the battery on another laptop and it is OK.
I believe smth is wrong with my PC ((.
Searching this forum I found some nice suggestions.
So, I tested Battery Connector pins (charger in/battery out) and here are my results:
pin_1 0v (-)
pin_2 3.30v
pin_3 0v
pin_4 3.38v (SCL)
pin_5 2.55v (SDA)!!!
pin_6 2.25 (+)
As far as I understand SDA pin must be ~3.3v???
Are there any other tests I can do before disassembling motherboard?

by benwatersonHi All
Been a while since I have been here, and a bit rusty.
I have the above laptop motherboard that was working and now the charging circuit is faulty.
Have 19v in fine until it hits PU4403 - not shorts I can see and thermal cam reveals nothing.
I have swapped out the ISL9538 and also the two mosfets (PU4403 and PU4405). Have 2.8v at the power switch, which pulls low when pressed - charging light comes on and goes straight off
Below are measurements (pin names are per the datasheet for the ISL95338 (couldn't find one for ISL9538,...05-03-2024, 03:25 AM -
I bought a T12-958 recently with an M8 handle and until now it has worked very well. The tip wasn't earthed but that was easily resolved.
Now, whenever it is switched on, it heats up to about 70*C then shows an [INVER] error on the screen and stops. In order to fix it I have to either unplug and re-plug the handle, or unplug and re-insert the tip from the handle. While doing that it changes to [ERROR], then it finishes heating up and works perfectly. Until it's turned off, after which it will show [INVER] again next time it is turned on.
Any idea what the problem is?05-06-2024, 01:36 PM -
by budwichGot this projector which has a problem with a lack of blue. Menu text is very yellow... expecting white. If I input a signal from a test disc via hdmi, a red screen image shows a uniform red as expect. Green similar while the blue does show but with non-uniformity. Looked at the in-polarizers. They are all good and clean. Running the projector to expose the light area in the prism block, shows each color well represented, all looking about the same intensity from the naked eye. Looking at the prism block itself and sending a light source back into the "out port", the individual...Yesterday, 06:49 PM

by mist79I am still new to this, so I might sound brainless/ignorant in parts of my description/questions, since I have a lot of gaps in my knowledge, but I will do my best.
The laptop is Lenovo Legion Y540-15IRH, and the motherboard model is NM-C221 Rev 2.0 (Schematics and BoardView can be easily found). To save time I have the exact problem in the laptop as the one shown in this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tfucZ_WKpz4
I was checking the voltages I found that the main power rail V20B+ is good, and same for the +3VALW circut, but when I tried the +5VALW,...05-08-2024, 10:52 AM -

by Wanderer2467Hello all.
I am trying to repair a Gigabyte Z490 Aorus Elite AC motherboard that was roughly handled. It had some components ripped off the bottom of the board. The last two I am trying to replace are shown as CKA_FB1 and CKA_FB2 on the schematic and I think they are SMD 0402 30nH inductors to control the resonant impedance of the control rails. I have measured approximately 3.3VDC at CKVDD as per image below. On the board the still in place CKA_FB3 is 1mm x 0.5mm SMD component with a dark body.
I am not familiar with the symbols used in the schematic below if anyone...Today, 03:23 AM -
by GraphicManHello guys
Because the unit is old (but only occasionally used) the loudness button causes some noise due to bad contact,
sprays did not work, so i decided to solder the pins that it connects on the pcb at the on (loudness on) position
i did that and it worked fine, i know from the bottom of my heart that the switch connects 2 pins and also d/c other 2 pins
on every position it have (6 pin switch), so i was curious what would happen if i clicked the switch off while the pins are soldered at on (so basiclly on and off at the same time), when i did so the sound is gone, nothing...-

by HasithI have this Sony MBX-273 on my hand. 19V present but no Voltage on 3.3, 5V Coils.
It has a SN608098 Chip. When I check its pins It shows;
19V on pin 6(VIN)
5.3V on pin 4(EN_LDO)
3.4V on pin 5(VREF3)
1.3V on pin 1(VREF2)
But only 0.46V on pin 7(LDO)
Is this means Chip is gone?

by tuankietkietWhen plugged in (no battery installed), the battery light on the motherboard lights up and then turn off. When powering on, the same and light and the power button also light up in a white color but no output on the display. It stayed like that for a few seconds before shutting down. I also seem to ruined a connector that connects to the WLAN, 2 USB and audio board, the same board also have a melted 2062A IC. I will post pictures in the reply sectionToday, 04:40 AM

I have a KD-65X9005A Sony 4k LED TV.
