by tccyo22Hey all,
I've got an ASUS laptop (Asus X409DL Rev 2.0) that had a little liquid spill on it however the majority was on the daughter board for the I/O stuff which is connected over a ribbon cable which I have disconnected for now. A small bit of liquid did however get onto what schematics and boardview show is a DC step down IC; a Realtek RT8249CQGW - markings: 2N=. There is no short on the main power rail as I have 19v with the charger plugged in however I have no other power, standby or always on rails anywhere on the board. Looking at the datasheet for this IC I want to sanity...05-01-2024, 05:49 AM -

by XriousGot a TH-55FX600 that is showing no signs of life.
Outputs from the P board look good, but no 12V on the A board.
Very similar to https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubleshooting-hardware-devices-and-electronics-theory/troubleshooting-tvs-and-video-sources/110001-panasonic-tx-65fx623e-identidy-ic but where Tibd has 3.3v on the EN pin I have nothing, no voltage at all.
Looking at the diagram for the IC I can see the enable is W_OPCTRL9, but I can't find a source for this, can anyone help please?

by r2digitalI have a klipsch kda-500 that would turn on and allow me to get into the web management but it was picking up a lot of noise from audio sources so i decided to replace the smd caps on the power supply along with radial one. Some one was in here before me and they basically burned the bottom side of the traces off for the radial cap but i was able to repair it without any real problem. I thought i did a good job sourcing out replacement caps but apparently not and now i can't get the power supply to turn on it just constantly try's to keep turning on. Attached is a picture of the power supply before...2 Photos04-18-2024, 03:50 PM

by mrgumshotHi all,
I've got a Lenovo ideapad gaming 3 15IMH05 with a black screen issue. I've tried a BIOS file which i saw in another post and changed some things in a Hex editor.
So i transfered the DMI info from my original BIOS to the one i got from the post. Flashed it to the chip and the laptop was booting again but very slow post.
After a couple of boots it went back to black screen again. Tried to flash the same BIN file on it which i used before but its staying at the black screen now unfortunately.
I hope someone can help me out. Attached is my [B]ORIGINAL...-

by werinqHello, recently I encontered an issue with my BIOS, it just corrupted out of nothing, it all happened after I just shutdown my laptop. I tried extracting the BIOS from the .exe file, but no succeed. I followed the guide attached to this topic, but it didn't help me. I tried using different BIOS dump files from this topic, but none worked. So this is why I ask to have BIOS dump file, so I can reprogramm it.
Model: HP ProBook 6570B
Serial Number: can't really find it
