I have a problem with the lcd turning on after a power outage.
Panel backlight ok. Voltage main and PS too.
Response to the remote control is fine.
The led control flashes.

On Samsung TVs there is an advantage to know if it is the main board, you can disconnect the main board from the powersuply, and then energize the source this should work the backlight, with this you would rule out the main board is in trouble you should change it

This isn't true. This rules out the PSU (led section) and LEDs on a tv. Not the main board. The PSU section going to main board could still be bad, the main board itself, the TCON (usually part of main now) or the panel can be bad.

Essentially this test can rule out half the PSU and the leds

What is the led control flashing? So hit power and the screen just continuously flashes? I just repaired an AU 8000 and my symptoms was..

Hit power and backlight flashes repeatedly, no reboot just constant flashing. This was the LEDs had blown.

Here's what I did to test. You'll have to figure the best way to do this..

I took the power board off, so that it was disconnected from the LED connection. I then hooked the main board up, and grounded the PSU using alligator clips. I plugged it in so that everything was hooked up except for the LEDs and I took a flashlight to the screen. Lo and behold there was picture and sound.

Rare it happens that LEDs flash constantly and nothing turns on (not reboot). I guess if this what you mean.

If this isn't what you mean, probably no need to do this test.
