I know, that's a replaced one that burned out again immediately when I plugged in the USB C. I think the short is from the second one down from the top left pin of the FN 50. The centre cap of the three big ones on the left is shorted. Trying to find out what spec it is. Found it! It's a 10k resistor....Last edited by kalemaroni; 02-13-2026, 11:19 AM.Leave a comment:

XGPro TL866II Plus BIOS 1.8v issues - noob assistance
I've finally bought myself a BIOS programmer XGPro TL866II Plus and am going through old donor boards and logging the BIOS's I have in stock and testing out reading and writing but having some issues with reading 1.8v BIOS's. I have bought the 1.8v adapter.
The problem is it's detecting the BIOS's but not reading them. I bought a second 1.8v adapter from a different supplier and this one has a different chip on it as seen in pic but still doesn't work.
I've attached pictures of the chip, the adapter and side views to show that it's straight and down all the way through....Last edited by kalemaroni; 11-22-2025, 06:42 PM. -
Chuwi MiniBook X N150 SU_DNN20_MB_V21_20231024A Missing component ID
This component (red rectangle) I was trying to build a trace to completely disintegrated. It looked just like the one in the green rectangle (dark top, white underside) which is a 100k resistor. Does anyone recognise this circuitry layout and can give a clue as to what component I should put there?
Thanks in advance.

Origin EON17-X Battery component knocked off?
This one came in from a shop that was changing the screen and had unclipped the battery connector and now there is no power. I noticed a couple of pads looked like they could've had a component knocked off, can anyone confirm if there should be one there and if so what type and the value of it is likely to be?...

Thank you. I can't see where it should solder onto on the back of the jack. There are only 3 points - the 2 grounds and the 19v.Leave a comment:
