MS-14C4 unusual chip
This laptop was brought in with no power and had been worked on in another country and they hadn't been successful. The battery and CMOS chip was disconnected.
I plugged it in and checked the thermal camera and one chip (TPS62134CRGTR) was glowing near the battery connector. I removed the chip only to find that it looked like it never belonged there in the first place. Is there something I'm missing here or has the previous shop replaced a completely different chip?

Gigabyte Aero 15 GA-RP65W no backlight, blown MOSFET
The hinge broke on this laptop and caused damage to the LCD cable. Replacement screen and cable produced no backlight. Upon board inspection discovered blown MOSFET as shown in pic.
The MOSFET and spec is P6402FMG/SOT23/950pF/64m https://datasheet4u.com/datasheet-pdf/UNIKC/P6402FMG/pdf.php?id=1093860
I have a ton of old Macbook boards - are there any I can pull one from does anybody know?

Repair Zotac RTX 3090
Injecting 1.5v into the top left of the shorted pins causes the resistor (1) to glow a little and the chip (2) to glow a lot. Diode mode on the pins included. How should I proceed with this?
The chip is OUT77 D8BGX

Would like to know what ESR it needs for buying from Digikey/Farnell/Mouser etc.

Thanks Rogfanther. New pic as requested. It's a W-LED curved gaming monitor.

Have I asked this question in the wrong place? Should I ask in the capacitor section instead?

BenQ 3501R turns off after 1-2 seconds
The capacitor on the board was slightly bulged at the top so I replaced. Unfortunately the cap I bought on eBay was much thinner than the original, even though the spec was the same (4.7uf 100v). The problem persists. Would the thickness of the cap actually make a difference - is it worth trying to find the correct one?

Thanks very much. Seems to be 10uF. I was told when I first started doing this kind of work that it wasn't possible to measure the capacitance of capacitors so I've never tried since!

Zenbook UX582L cap
I need to replace this cap. What voltage and capacitance is this likely to be?

Splice DC jack from one Alienware model to another
I waited 5 days for this to arrive only to find it's not the right model! Rather than wait for a China order, I was wondering if anyone knew if it was possible to cut and splice/solder anywhere?
12 pins vs 10 pins, it's a for a Dell AlienWare x15 R2 (P111F003) and the one advertised on eBay was Dell Alienware 15 R1 R2 R3 AW15R1 AW15R2 DC IN Power Jack 0784VK DC30100TN00.
Also, there seem to be 4 wires soldered to the back of the jack on the X15 R2 and only 3 on the 15 R2. What would the 4th one be?

MAG274QRF-QD 27" gaming monitor half backlight shadow
A customer called me up and said that half the screen was like a shadow - presumably the backlight has partially gone. I've never done a repair like this on a monitor, only circuit board based repair on Macbooks etc - is it something that's doable or generally not?
