I am working on ACER Aspire A515-54-74LM Serial # NXHNAAA00693913C647600 (SNID: 93908099676 ). Motherboard DA0ZAWMB8G0 Rev.G (UMA, no video chip on this board). It turns on fine but when booting to Windows 11, it just keep loading. The Windows ring is continously spinning & does not proceed anywhere. I tried with another known good SSD Card with 100% Windows 11 bootable from this SSD., & result if still the same. BIOS ME Region has been cleaned, same result with old & new BIOS bin files. Hi
I have a 453 Mini , two of the four Sata ports are not getting 12V . I am wondering if anyone has knowledge on hardware repair on these devices . I have attached an image of the board , it appears the Sata ports are powered in pairs , the right pair are working , left pair no voltage ( 0.2V)
I have tried tracing the 12V rail , though have not been successful . I am guessing there is a Transistor or Mosfet that is open
Any help , perhaps a schematic?
The board otherwise appears to work fine .. Boots up ,

Dear forum,
I'm stuck with this old TV unit.
PSU: 17PW04-1
MB: 17MB62-1
Symptoms:
- Blue LED constantly blinking when connected to AC.
- Only sigh of life is beeping when touching the capactive buttons on the front.
Diagnostics so far:
Checked the PSU output voltages:
12V present
5V present altought its only around 4.2V
3V is present measured 3.4V.
I check TP 202 which is for the short circuit protection: 0.606V on diode mode

Hello friends, today i got an A2485 820-02100-A in a desd state, found visual short on PPVIN_5VUSBC23 line, removed tantalum capacitor, installed same same value from other donor board, now there is no short on any of the rails but when i plug either magsafe3 or usbc inget 5v stable with 0.00 amps drown, no cycle, just these steady values, board is not in dfu mode, checked with magsafe and with usbc. Only value that i find on the board is ppdcin_aon which is 5v… i dont get 3,3 aon, 3v8 aon .. all missing, where should i start looking please !...Today, 09:40 AM

Hello,
i'm trying to understand what is wrong with this laptop. The fans are not spinning and i can't boot to windows (laptop is trying but endless loop on loading)
Here is the symptoms that i have :
- Takes 20s to display something when power button is pressed
- F1/F2/F9 access ok, F10 hangs, nothing after
- Can update the bios and do the bios recovery, but didn't solve the issue
- Tried CMOS clear, same, no change

i am not sure if any additonal information is needed if so let me know and i can update this post. Things i have tried are to download the BIOS directly from Asus but that file is a .329 file and is 32MB as opposed to the 16MB file i need. I have an Asus G14 (GA401QM) that has a power issue. Originally the board had a shorted 5V rail and dead EC. I reballed a working EC, soldered it on, and I resolved the 5V issue by replacing the APL6012 and the low side 5V mosfet. Resistances on all power rails are healthy now, but 20V does not make it through the first MOSFET. 20V is present on the drain of the first MOSFET, but there is no voltage on the gate or source.
When diagnosing this issue, I thought that the issue was due to the BQ24800 chip not outputting the correct signals so I soldered on a known working chip and the...05-08-2024, 01:30 PM -

Hi,
working on a ASUS ROG STRIX GL702VSK 60NB0DZ0-MB1260 that does not power on. At the PQ8900 PIN2 (P_CHG_ACMOS_G_20) I am receiving 24.7V and PIN1 (P_CHG_ACMOS_S_20) 20V, however when I place the PQ8901 P_CHG_ACMOS_G_20 it drops 0V. I don't have the replacement mosfets ( N-MOSFET QM3058M6AC PRPAK5*6
UBIQ) however will any N-channel mosfet with similar parameters work ? I also found that PCI8703, PCI8701 are shorted. any help would be grateful.05-07-2024, 04:34 PM -
