Hi Dear friends., working on this Dell Latitude 5500. The problem was dead. I replaced the shorted MOSFET & now no short at all. But when I press the power button, does not turn on. I was checking the Latitude 5500 threads & most of them are with the 256MB BIOS, my board contains 2 BIOS chip 64MB(UC5) & 128MB(UC6) . & upon reading the Main Bin files are in the 128MB & the 64MB contains the password. So I have only uploaded the 128MB UC6. Can someone pls. clean this BIN File. Thanks in advance.

Dear Friends., can someone please help clean this BIOS Bin file. The problem is that it was booting into Windows 11 without any probems & with one update, all got corrupted & thereafter did not load or boot into Windows at all. The windows ring start & all of a sudden it either gives a BLUE Screen or restarts again after few seconds. I tried with known good SSD Windows 11, no luck. Thanks in advance

  • These Dell Model LA-G891P have problems with audio. My Problem is same like @Zibbo post # 1 ., did anyone find a permanent solution for this defective. Re-installed Win 11 & in the start audio is 100% perfect, can hear songs, play all audio on YT, no errors at all. The moment the laptop is shut down & kept away for the night, the next morning I see X on the speaker icon. On boot up too in the start, it show "NO MEDIA DEVICE Present". If anyone came across this problme & can share a solution for this fault. I even replace the audio chip & audio Jack, no luck. Thanks in...

  • Dear friends, I am having a problem with audio with this Dell Latitude model 5400. At first I hear the audio in good working condition. The next day I turn on there is an X on the speaker icon. This has been happening for several days, I restore the laptop twice, replaced SSD & checked all periherals, all good & no shorts near teh audio chip. Hopefully the complete BIOS cleanup might clear this problem. I have uploaed the original BIOS Bin file. Can someone do a cleanup for me please.

  • [QUOTE=Zibbo;n100211]Customer says they were playing music on internal speakers and it suddenly stopped. Windows says no audio device detected.
Here is what I have done so far: I have inspected the motherboard for burnt parts or liquid damage, I have checked for shorts to ground on all supply pins, I have changed the audio IC, I have reflashed the bios with a 100% working dump, I have enabled the audio device in bios.

Dear if you have the schematics LA-G891P., kindly share!!! Thanks buddy

  • Thanks mon2 for the rescue. I will do the measurements tomorrow & inform you. In the meantime, i.e this afternoon, I took out a good BQ25700A from a Lenovo motherboard NM-B741, this board uses the same BQ25700A chip for charging the battery, no chance, still the same. I will check the resistance between pins SRN & SRP (pins 19 & 20), but I sure it will be less than 10ohms as there is a current resistor in parallel. I checked this resistor before & it was fine, but will surely confirm it tomorrow. Thanks

  • Samsung NP750XDA not charging battery

Dear gentlemen., today working on a Samsung Galaxy NP750XDA Laptop (NB3586-NB3587_PCBN_MB_V5), not charging battery. The laptop came with a dead battery & upon testing the battery Ouput coil getting around 6v, assuming that the battery circuit is ok & only the battery has to be replaced. I ordered a new battery, received & installed it but still same, NOT CHARGING. In the start, on the battery + pin I get 17v which is perfect for a 15.4V battery & then the volts drops down to 6v approx & does not charge or work on the battery & the charge LED comes on & then off. I...

  • Good morning friends., working on this Lenovo ThinkPad P14S., the problem with the laptop is that it freezes all of a sudden & then no display for a longest time. Sometime I get display & at times it is totally blanks. All the required voltages are present & taking around 20V 0.62 milli amps & when no display it is stuck on this amps. Hopefully a full BIOS cleanup might rectify the problem. Can someone do this for me., thanks in advance.

  • Dear Buddies., I did a sound & steady research on these chips CD3217B12 replacement on this logic board. I had to repair another motherboard like this 820-01949. One of the CD3217B12 (Small Dot) location U3100_X was bursted but the other U3100_T looked fine. Since I had the time I replaced both new CD3217B12 (BIG Dot). Upon testing the logic board got stuck on 5V. I noticed that this board uses all 4 CD3215B12 (Small Dot). I had some old CD3215B12 (small dot) lying around. So I re-balled 2 chips & soldered back in the location U3100_X & U3100_T. Guess what, all worked fine, 20v perfect...

Dear friends., working on this ACER Aspire F5-573T-56UC DAZAAMB16E0 Rev:E . All the working voltages are present & it turns on & take the load of few amperes but still no display. I think the BIOS cleanup will rectify this problem. I could not find this Serial # or SNID on the ACER web site. The board has a very common part #. Thanks in advance. Admin kindly move this post to the BIOS Request section., just accidentally got it here, my mistake, apologies !!!
