I use a speaker connected to the front panel header pins on the positions marked for the speaker.
I'm quite sure it's normal for the 3.3V to not be powered on the analyser card. I don't think 3.3V is present on the slots.
I get the same behaviour on my other working 486 boards.
This board uses socket 2 which is meant for 5V CPU's.
Maybe despite there being a voltage regulator and jumpers for the lower voltages, the board does not actually support newer CPU's that use a voltage below 5V.
I don't know why that would be, but it is a 1992 board according...

I have cleaned the board and the contacts thoroughly. Today I measured each pin in the slot and compared it to the slots below, with each pin giving me the same readings.
There does not appear to be a disconnect or anything which is obviously faulty, yet the board simply beeps and won't post with a module in that slot, while it works just fine with the module moved to any of the other two remaining slots.

If I just check power good at the power connector, won’t that just be checking the power supply? Or where do you advise to perform the measurement?
I have tested multiple power supplies and also used this PS on other boards.
On the crystals, am I understanding correctly that I should just look for a low voltage, since I don’t have the equipment to measure the oscillations?

Faulty memory slot on Tekram Slot 1 motherboard
I have a Tekram P6PRO-A5 Rev. 1.01 which has an issue with one of the memory slots and with the floppy port.
When a memory module is installed into the slot which is closest to the north bridge, the board will beep and won't post. The same memory module works in the two remaining slots.
Also, the floppy drive does not work regardless of bios settings.
Please help me to identify the possible cause of the faulty memory slot and the floppy drive port as well.
I have examined the board under my digital microscope and did not find any broken traces....2 Photos

Requesting assistance with 486 motherboard repair
I have a seemingly rare 486 motherboard which shows no signs of life.
The Motherboard is marked with the labels B887 / 8 / 9 AI, which seems to be a Mecer branded board.
With an AT power supply hooked up, the power supply turns on but the board does not post, there is no beep and there is nothing displayed on the post analyser card, whether it's plugged into a PCI slot or an ISA slot.
I found a thread on Vogons of someone else who had the same board in working condition.
What I've tried so far: (In each case, the symptoms remain unchanged...9 Photos

Thanks. Would this be a suitable replacement?

Faulty XFX Radeon RX6800 Merc 319. (Non-XT)
I have an XFX Radeon RX6800 which allows me to boot into Windows but as soon as the drivers load, the screen turns off and I get an orange LED.
I tested the card as a secondary adapter and found that when the drivers load, GPU-Z indicates 0MB on the memory and a 0Mhz core and memory speed.
I created a Linux boot stick and ran a training check with the Radeon test software and it reports no errors on the memory.
This same test on another Radeon RX6800 with a known bad memory module does indicate the faulty module.
What could be wrong with my XFX...

Tested in multiple PC’s. The card is not detected by the PC. Both cores do get hot.
I’m still a novice at graphics card repair so I’m not sure what to check or where to check on the board for voltages or faults.7 Photos

Okay, yes but is there a reference to a part number that will have the identical functionality?
i want to look up the data sheet and order replacements but I need to be sure it’s the correct part.

Radeon HD3870 X2, Identify Component
I have a Radeon HD3870 X2 which has all voltages and cores get warm but the card is not detected by the PC.
There is this component on the PEX reset line but I don't know what it is and what the pinout is.
Can anyone help me to identify the component?...

Looking for information or a schematic for Sapphire HD 3850 AGP 512MB.
There are a couple of components knocked off and I need to identify the components and their values.
The missing components are on the bottom rear of the card near the AGP hook.
Q912 (Located almost directly above the hook)
C42 (Located above the last pin of the AGP connector)
Can anyone help?
Thx

Understanding capacitor ratings
Hi, I have some capacitors that I need to replace on a graphics card.
I've attached pictures for reference.
Please help me to understand the ratings so that I can order the correct replacements:
1. G7 560 2.5E - I believe these are for vcore

Is this 560uF and 2.5V?
What does the "E" mean?
Is there any relevance to the "G7"
2. ECX 17 560 2.5V - I believe these are on the memory phase

Another 560uF at 2.5V?
This is on the same graphics card. If the caps are rated the same as those above, why...
