by jm1234Hi,
I'm troubleshooting a power supply board and one opto coupler seems shorted. It's a through-hole, marked with 3 lines:
1223
816A4
W
I'm not sure what replacement to buy for it. It resembles LTV-816 (https://www.tme.eu/sk/en/details/ltv-816/optocouplers-analog-output/liteon/), but I'm not sure it's 100% that. The data sheet shows multiple sub-types like 816M, 816S, but 816A is not there.
I do have other functional pieces on the same board, so I could do some measurements on those, but I'm not sure what to check.
Any idea appreciated.Hi,...Yesterday, 03:30 AM -
by johnbetonHello,
I have a A1706 with 820-00923-A board. The laptop came in with non-working keyboard. I bought a new top-cover with keyboard and transfered everything to the new topcover.
Since then the macbook will not charge or power-up. Before replacing top cover, I started the macbook to test, and it worked fine apart from keyboard. Then shut it down and did replacement.
This is what I measure so far:
Resistance from F7000 to ground is 123 Ohm on pin 1 and 2
PPBUS_G3H = 0,79v
PPBUS_HS_CPU = 0,79v
PPBUS_HS_OTH5V = 0,79v

by dreico33Hellow guys,
I have came across many times to mesure VCore Coils or capasitors of a CPU GPU and APU. How we can take acurate mesuraments on these components when the same componetes most of time ( if not always) will have close to 0 resistance to ground,very low voltage drop ( in diode mode) it will beep in continuity mode. I mean whatever mesurement i take i can not be sure if we have a short or just low restistance ( very low sometimes),. How we can seperate a short from normal low restistance components?

I have made two dumps of this bios, with the bios chip removed from the board and the hashes match on both dumps, but I cannot find the DMI information in the dumps except for the Windows product key, so I think it is corrupted. I have downloaded two bios updates from the Lenovo support site, but they contain small .PAT file, and 4 subfolders containing .FL1 and .FL2 files, which I don't understand enough to figure out how to use to fix my dump.

by caspianDear members,
I have an HP Elitebook 2540P laptop with mainboard: LA-5251P REV 1.0
It has a SIO with model: SMSC KBC1098
I think both the EC firmware and the main Bios reside in a single Bios chip.
Problem: KBC1098 is partially defective so that it does not generate ADP_En at Pin 75 and generates 8 amber blinks on the charging LED, indicating some wrong input.
Idea: Now I need to modify the EC firmware so that KBC1098 ignores the wrong input conditions and always generates a high ADP_En and does not enter a failure state.
Is it possible...-

by RGSoundGood morning I have a problem with my Samsung UE49MU6120KXZT (Version 01) TV with Motherboard BN94-12644A.
After disconnection from 220V the TV remains switched off with status led off. I need information on how to proceed with reprogramming the flash memory and the BIN file to reprogram it.
I have purchased this programmer on Ebay: CH341A EEPROM PROGRAMMER FLASH BIOS 24 25 SERIES + CLIP TEST. I include photos of the motherboard. I am not very experienced but I would like to learn so the more detailed the information, the better it will be for me...05-17-2024, 04:55 AM

by ScarfycakeHi all,
I sent my ProArt Studiobook 16 OLED (H7600, 12th Gen Intel) to the local repair guys to have a very simple DC in port replaced. I sourced the part myself on accessoires-asus (french company) after struggling to find the right part in the UK. It looked completely the same to the installed part from what I can tell. Originally the only issue with the laptop was a bad / loose DC connection, and so the computer and battery acted completely normal aside from a very poor connection that would fail at certain angles. After the repair was completed I brought it home and used...5 PhotosToday, 08:16 AM -

by ianbakHi,
I have an HP 255 G8 that runs for as long as its battery holds charge but won't accept AC power.
I have partially diagnosed the problem and the issue seems to be that there is no ACDRV output from the BQ24735 to turn on the two input MOSFETs. The 24735 has a VCC of 19.57 V, the ACDET input is at 2.93 V and the REGN 6V LDO is outputting 5.98 V, so everything looks good - but ACDRV is stuck at 28 mV.
I've already replaced the 24735 and both input MOSFETs and nothing has changed.
I'd appreciate some suiggestions as to what to try next.Yesterday, 08:45 AM -
