I am trying to downgrade my bios on my Alienware so I can undervolt & overclock my CPU, and overclock my ram. I need to get to bios 1.2.2 for this. Dell doesn't allow downgrades, and their bios file is an exe compiled in c++, so I can't decompile it easily. I am wondering if I can flash the bios manually using a usb flasher. I would like to know if this is possible, and if so, where the bios chip would be. I know flashers are pretty cheap and the bios chip is 8-pin. There are two of these chips only when I open the back panel of the laptop. I'm not sure if there are any on the other side of...Yesterday, 03:34 PM

I have Microwave BOSCH CFA634
It runs, but after 10 -15 seconds stops working.
Sometimes it shows error E1006.
I can't find this error explication.
Some people say it's communications error between main and display module.
Probably somebody has an experience with this issue?
Can you help me please?

When plugged in (no battery installed), the battery light on the motherboard lights up and then turn off. When powering on, the same and light and the power button also light up in a white color but no output on the display. It stayed like that for a few seconds before shutting down. I also seem to ruined a connector that connects to the WLAN, 2 USB and audio board, the same board also have a melted 2062A IC. I will post pictures in the reply section05-11-2024, 04:40 AM

Hi I have inherited the above desktop scanner, all seems to work correctly but there is no sound output. The only sound I do get from the speaker is the beep confirmation when you press a key. No output from the headphone socket either. Not even radio static with squelch fully turned down, tried a reset by holding 2, 9, and hold buttons but still no sound, does anyone have any experience with these scanners, thanks.05-13-2024, 04:12 AM

Hi all,
Looking for advice please, regarding those 2( film capacitor?? - honestly not too confident if are film capacitors). Short version of story : I bought a stagepass 500 active speakers, and found those components nearly blown. I know they are 1= L 125. Any advice where I could find them to buy, and also what else could lead to this fault?( I have a multimeter and soldering iron and I can get fixed if someone could give me some instructions)

After disconnection from 220V the TV remains switched off with status led off. I need information on how to proceed with reprogramming the flash memory and the BIN file to reprogram it.

I have original dump BIOS which is attached.
I wrote another dump on the chip found on this forum and now can enter bios as user mode, but it still has an administrator password and cant change settings in BIOS. How to remove it? Thanks....Today, 06:36 AM -

But now I need a new bios...

Hi everyone,
I have been working on a no power issue with my personal ASUS gaming laptop. It went dead a few months ago.
Some history:
Since then, I've found a blown mosfet on the GPU line which I replaced. It started up without a battery, then when I added the battery back it wouldn't start up again.
As a result, there were some blown components around the BQ chip. (The BQ chip itself - BQ24780S, the low side battery mosfet (shorted), and a resistor -> all replaced)
