LG OLD55CX6LA TCON Short - Help Identifying Component
by spookt
Hi Folks

I've got a friend's LG OLED on the bench (well the dining table given the size of it!). It immediately powers off when turned on and sits in standby. PSU voltages are good and after disconnecting the TCON board there is stable 12V and 22V coming out of the PSU board.

Hunting around the TCON board there appears to be a shorted power rail (DVDD09_CORE) but I'm having issues identifying the component which is shorted. I've attached a picture. It's sitting before the coil so I'm assuming it's a MOSFET of some description, but the markings I can make out don't seem...

it doesn't have any problem, but the bios programmer won't let me read this chip (it reads on the 'winbound 74M12JWSIG' capsule marked on the MoBo as UC2, it's 128mb , the programmer is XGCU T48 (TL866-3G) version 00.01.31

I try to use the auto detect and it doesn't work, I manually search for the chip and it is not supported, does anyone have an idea, I am doing regular bacups of the machines that pass through my hands, in case I need it in the future as well as being able to help here in the forum ...

Hi guys,

Anyone ever worked on this board before?
Few issues im trying to resolve:

1. Laptop will not power up without main battery connected (missing 3.3v line)- measuring on the 3.3v coil i can see 0v but for split second it jumps to 3.3v and drops again.
Is this laptop supposed to power on only with battery connected?

2. Battery voltage + line is getting 19v, for my experience 7.4v battery isn't meant to be charged with main line voltage- is this normal?

3. No display on laptop screen, if i disconnect the LVDC cable and connects...

PS5 Slim Beep No Light UART DDR4 Error
by ChattFix
Hello everyone, I need some help with a PS5 Slim board EDM-040 that will beep but no light or fan spin.

When I connect my bench power supply, (12v 0.500amp) the amps go between .135-.035 then back to .005.

When I attach UART I get the error code below. I have replaced the DDR4 ram IC with one from a donor board. Cannot verify is the IC was working or not, still same error.

IT8176 replacing
by Francisco.s
Hi, I have replaced a IT8176 in a Lenovo nm-d281 motherboard, and need to know how to program this keyboard controller.

The initial problem was an erratic behavior of numeric key pad, due to one of the IT8176 keyboard pins was shorted to gnd.

Now it completely doesn't work. I tried to R/W new chip with Vertyanov programmer but don't know which pin of the 34 pin keyboard connector have to be connected.

Does somebody know how it should be connected to Vertyanov or Svod programmer?...

Gardena lawnmowerrobot mainboard, short out battery
by Stigsolbjerg
hi again
this time its a mainboard from a mowerrobot, when i connect battery it shorts it, so the bms shuts down battery.
when take the mm in beepmode and measure from the positive to the negative battery terminal on the board it beeps shortly like 0,25 sec, and when i reverse the probes it beeps again shortly 0,25 sec.
when i mesure on the cap thats missing in pic nr 2, the bottom solderpath goes to the negative, the upper one is 1,2 ohm to negative is this a short?

hope Capleaker is still around

Kinda as the title says, some dufus managed to drop a password in said bios & I'm running around in circles to clear it. FWIW, I've included the 8MB - 64MB & Asus' support site bios-zzzz. Seeing as I'm not a code guy in the slightest, I could sure use the help.

I thank all you MENSA Society members upfront for your help in my silliness.

A2485, A2780(820-02100, 820-02890) PP3V8 short
by JxxK
Hello
I am repairing the A2780 (M2Pro 16").
There is no schematics and board view of A2708 yet, so I am referring 820-02100 (A2485).

Stuck 5.2V, 0.02A
'PP3V8_AON' short on diode mode and no voltage.
'PP3V8_AON_MPMU' short on diode mode.
'PPBUS_AON' looks fine. 12.3V
'PPVIN_P3V8AON' looks fine(not short on diode mode), 12.3V

I tried to remove the U5700, Q5800, Q5820, Q5840 and PP3V8 aond still stuck.

It seems to be a problem in the process of moving from 'PPBUS_AON' to 'PP3V8_AON'.
Even if I check with thermal...

by zdwena
Good day,

I have a motherboard from a Lenovo legion 5 laptop. The previous service was unable to repair it. So I started the repair myself. The motherboard wouldn't turn on at all. The problem was in the mosfet in the PU101 which starts the power supply and in the PQ8203. And in the burnt Lenovo IT8227E chip and also in a short circuit in the power supply. I fixed and replaced everything. I have the same parts board. Now the board turns on and the battery is charging, the power button lights up green. But I am not getting the image. And the board turns itself off in approx. 25-30...
