Re: ME Firmware Cleaning Guide
Is it the same bios youve already asked about in the HP ZBook Studio G8 thread - https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showpo...3&postcount=14 . What is your model, firefly or studio G8 .If its the same bios you`re asking for just bump that thread,no need to post the same thing again. If its a different one then start a new thread.Comment

Re: ME Firmware Cleaning Guide
Thank you so much SMDFlea for the great and easy to follow guide.
I am recently trying to clean the ME on Surface Pro 7 (CSME 13), however I am unable to find the "SMIP signning field" in the FIT. The FIT only lists non-zero OEM Public Key and OEM Key Manifest Binary.
I tried to ignore this step, but simply overwritting the ME Sub Partition with a clean one and exporting the bios is not working - the tablet just turns on and off.
Thank youComment

by SMDFleaIf you have to clean the ME firmware on **some microsoft surface models the touchscreen can stop working.
** Some models do not need this fix.
*You should install the latest updates from microsoft, including the driver packs before assuming there is a hardware problem.* - See Post #2
EDIT: If nothing else works try this fix - https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showpo...8&postcount=40
Always check a working dump from the same model using FIT.If the working dump default setting for "Integrated Sensor Hub Supported" is set to "NO"...-

by gurj1979Hi guys.
I've got a Ubiquiti US-8-150W POE switch which has issues with updating the firmware.
Turned out to be a bad EEPROM chip. It would read the firmware and work as normal, but failed to write new firmware to it.
So I took off the chip and read on EEPROM and saved it. Wrote to old chip and failed to write
Got New chip and writes good.
THE PROBLEM...
It fails to fully load the firmware, POE lights fail to work during g firmware test during load. I'm suspecting bad EEPROM Read.
Does anyone have a Good Firmware I can have?...-

by sikocanHello,
I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to share a recent experience I had with a laptop that had a Type-C Port issue, specifically related to a PD (Power Delivery) controller problem. After replacing the damaged PD controller chip with a new one I purchased from AliExpress, the laptop now charges properly and negotiates power as expected, allowing the device to power up. I've replaced this chip twice just in case.
However, it seems that the laptop's BIOS is detecting an older version of the PD Firmware on the newly installed chip. As a result, it attempts... - Loading...
