I have an Anker SoundCore 2 (A3105) that I saved from the trash (well, I guess there's a reason why it was supposed to go into the trash...). The problem is that it always turns off after a few seconds (sometimes it stays on a bit longer, between 30 and 60 seconds, but it still turns off). The power light turns on and the bluetooth light starts blinking, but both abruptly turn off again. The "turn off sound" is still played after the lights turn off. Sometimes, it also loops the on-off cycle several times without me pressing any buttons. If I connect an AUX cable, music does play as long as the speaker stays on. I've tried various tricks mentioned online, like pressing the power and bluetooth buttons simultaneously for 15-20 seconds or pressing the bluetooth and volume up buttons for 15-20 seconds in order to reset it, but nothing worked so far.
It doesn't seem to be a battery problem because I also tried running if off a separate power supply and nothing changed (hence the soldered-on wires in the photos I attached). I'm wondering if it could be a problem with the firmware, but the speaker doesn't stay on long enough to run a firmware update. I have read the firmware directly from the flash chip (see attachment), but I couldn't find replacement firmware anywhere, just the firmware update file, which is around 14 MB, while the flash chip is only 2 MB. Does anyone have any ideas what the problem could be, in particular if it could still be a hardware issue, or if it probably is a firmware issue?
