        Thanks very much.

Can you help me learn how you knew that is the 0-3 LAD trace? I am just starting to learn to translate board diagrams. In the attached schematic LAD0:3 are labeled K1, J2, J1, H2, and overlapping the trace you marked on the board are the letters "K" and "U2". Are all of the LAD wires bundled together in that trace, or the entire LPC bus? I see that there are many fewer traces on the board than are connections in the diagram.

        Link to schematic - https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...v1-0-schematic

Another question I have is, how exactly do you short it? Just touch the top of the trace right there where you marked with my grounded conductor?

I really appreciate it, this is very interesting to me.

look at the boardview of NM-C801. Use a switch, as you can see in Maxpower3 instructions or other users photos.

It would help me understand to have answers to the questions I asked. I am trying to find the information I need to understand Maxpower3's instructions (I am unfamiliar with many of these terms and acronyms and am piecing it together). For example I don't know what you mean by "use a switch" (what is a switch in this context?). If anyone else can help answer my questions I would appreciate the help! Also/alternatively, do you know of a good reference for these things? Like how to translate the boardview to the board.

In the attached pic of the chip and board region, does either the red circle or yellow circle contain the actual location of where one would touch the board to short the LPC bus?

I see my attachment didn't work in my previous post, trying again here. I think this is what you refer to by boardview.

You would understand if you read previous posts, in post 603 you have a pic with "switch". Boardview is a schematic containing print of circuit board and components placed on board, google should answer to this question ... You can find boardview searching on this forum for "NM-C801 schematic". ALL INFORMATIONS are here, in this forum, but you want to be given to you instead of looking for them ...

sorry I don't want to confuse you, now I don't discuss what in your video I already understand.
                    now my question,
d lenovo e14/e15 G2 amd this method works.
                    l14/l15 g2 amd also works.

but this method is not working
                    on e14/e15 g2 intel and l14/l15 g2 intel.
even though it is only different from LPC and ESPI.

In the schematic, there are LPC and ESPI modes, how to change them

This doesn't work max, there is a difference in the cascitor installed with L14 gen 1.
                      check pins 125 and 124 on l14 g1 and l14 g2.
is it necessary to remove the connecting resistor at pins 124 and 125 of l14 G2

You're partially correct - I asked questions in the hopes that somebody would provide me an answer. I have read the thread, and in my current state of knowledge, the abbreviated form generally used (which makes assumptions on what is already known) gives me only partial information for which I lack the context, making it more of a task than just reading the incomplete sentences to reach understanding - which I know works for you in this field because you are already familiar with the concepts. Therefore "ALL INFORMATIONS" means something different to you than it does to me. The information is surely outside of the forum as well, but this format facilitates conversational learning and has been helpful for many people, myself and probably yourself included. You can also build relationships through tact, if you want to.

                                    Hello MaxPower,
Thanks again for sharing this method. I tested on my laptop but it is high risks, high reward solution . It was a lenovo x380. Of 50 tries on shorting LPC_AD 0 to GND, I managed to get to 2 times in the bios. On the first time, i cleared the Supervisor password and cleared the security ; I have done Ctrl+Alt+Del to exit from bios ; Upo rebooting the bios password was still there. So i managed to get bios a second time. but this time laptop froze when i was redoing clearing supervisor password; It shuts downs ; upon powering on, There was no display not even Lenovo Logo : I think i bricked it ; Should i get a random bios file for Lenovo x380 on the forum to flash it on the pc ? Thanks
