Mate. I cannot find the right timing, Im using a USB cable, took the pin 4 the one with the black cable, solder to pin 6 and with a switch in the middle. Im trying for several hours and I don't see any improvement I already lifted the pad of the pin 8 , I saw your video on youtube and tried to figure out the timings but I cannot nail it. It is after the lenovo logo? before? I saw on your video that you start pressing F1 since you press the power button, am I right? it seems that you push the tip against the pin/pad but I cannot see how much longer nor when in the process. can you give me some linformation? I read that some guy were succesful with a fast short just when lenovo logo comes, but I tried it houndreds of times with no succesful results. Any help would be highly appreciated, I bought this computer with a very good price on Ebay, and it cames with the bios locked (was not in the description). I dont want to return it because it was a very good price. thanks in advanced to everyone who can help me. my Motherboard is the exact same model NM-B471.

im Happy to announce that I managed to delete the supervisor password. my problem was that the ground of the USB were not working good. I took the ground from the frame of the USB and Voilá! it worked like a charm in just a few tries.
but right now I have a problem, when booting, the computer says error 0188 and 2200, any Idea about how to solve it? thanks in advanced.

you corrupted the numbers!.
you didn't check if everything was correctly written in the first page of the bios where you used F10 to exit.
you must read all the information indicated on this thread before doing the manipulation.
use lenovo utility to correct this
2200: Machine Type Invalid and Serial Number are invalid. 0188 : invalid RFID serialisation information area.
Save information befor use utility
bios pictures
and save B0 and C0 if still written in the utility before erasing or modifying the eeprom

oh god.. thanks. gonna try. fortunately, I have a backup that I took out of the locked Bios, but my pads are almost dead and I don't think that they will support another fun session of trying to get into bios like today. Im gonna try the utility that you linked. thanks!

the numbers are marked in EC, not in the bios!!
no need to touch the bios.
Take photos of the 1st page and use the utility.
Or if you still have the labels on the motherboard or on the cover
you can recover the numbers with luck
Besides, I don't see your serial number indicated in your posts as the rule indicates.
This could have been useful if you lost it during handling
Success! Thank you!! I didn't get a Lenovo splash screen at all so I started systematically tracking when I started to hold and for how long, and the resulting errors and whatnot. Unfortunately the time it worked I had lost my concentration and didn't get exact times, but it ended up being about starting at 3.5 about seconds after and holding for about 4.5 seconds.

Thank you very much! The "retry+" works fine without SVP error.
I have another one Thinkpad with ncpx897. How I can modify second dump? Is there a patcher or is it manual mode?

Attempted on T14 Gen 2 AMD NM-D451 IT5679VG and couldn't get the timing right. It had a bios password and now on every boot up I'm getting error 0183: Bad CRC of Security Settings in EFI variable. Press F1 to enter Setup. Then if I press F1 it asks me for a supervisor password. I can't get pass this and boot or go into bios anymore. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I shorted the test point pin that's connected to AD2 shown in my picture.

Have you tried removing all power sources including CMOS battery and holding the reset switch for 60 sec?
Hello. I just bought one SH laptop, Lenovo Thinkpad T495 and he have password on BIOS and he have something called MDM protection security or something like this.. It's there a way to get rid of that MDM protection? I don't even know what is that MDM... a hardware component, software thing. Just to be clear, i cannot return the product because i bought it from a ( i don't know how to say ) like a car boot sale, a place where people come and sell thing and it's possible to never see those people again, so, i can exclude the return option. Thank you !
