Hello, I wanted to know if it is possible to modify a BIOS file to accept a legacy disk when it does not have the capability, I had this problem on a Optiplex 3060 that were donated to my job where we use non-uefi linux distros, we cannot use uefi since is a "big machine" with this systems beign the center of all of it, we can't change the distro now, maybe make some changes, but if I can modify the BIOS it would be awesome.05-14-2024, 10:31 AM

I watch some basic TV using an ATSC tuner set top box which outputs HDMI to my LCD TV. The brand is Centronics, which seems like a fairly low cost (ie cheaply made) product. The UI is a bit crude looking compared to what I've seen on TVs that have the ATSC tuner built in (but it works!). Anyway, the set top box has always had an odd behaviour, which is that turning the device on using the remote would sometimes not "stick", that is, it would turn on momentarily and then immediately turn off. It didn't do this all the time, but it did this randomly since I've had it, which is 2009. Recently...Today, 12:44 PM

Pin 5 without battery 3 v with battery connected 0v
Pin 6- 0.56v
Pin 7&8 - 8.44v
Have tried new battery and changed bq737
When BATT Detect SW is pressed pin5 voltage goes to 0v
Have traced pin 3 and pin 4 to the it8987e....Today, 12:34 PM -
Hello community, I have this notebook with BIOS problem, it ran out of power during an update of the BIOS itself, before that it was perfectly , it does not indicate what it charges, it does not turn on any LED or turn the fan, if anyone knows what the DMI direction is here I leave the backup

Hello everyone, I have this Asus model X556UA that when plugged in I get the white light but nothing happens when pressing the power button. I've been looking into it following the power sequence and found out that the power button is sending the signal to the EC (PWR_SW#) but the EC is not sending the PM_PWRBTN# to the PCH (it always stays at 3.3V). I'm stuck here and don't know what else can I do, maybe I can get some help. I've seen that this could mean that the PCH is dead but I don't know how I can confirm this. Good morning I have a problem with my [B]Samsung UE49MU6120KXZT (Version 01)[/B] TV with Motherboard[B] BN94-12644A[/B].
After disconnection from 220V the TV remains switched off with status led off. I need information on how to proceed with reprogramming the flash memory and the BIN file to reprogram it.

Hi, I have a power supply that now is working but generating a lot of heat (200ºC) in the resistors circled by green (see photos) with a minimal load (60W). Output voltage is correct with that minimal load. What cai I look now?

Hi everyone,
I have been working on a no power issue with my personal ASUS gaming laptop. It went dead a few months ago.
Some history:
Since then, I've found a blown mosfet on the GPU line which I replaced. It started up without a battery, then when I added the battery back it wouldn't start up again.
As a result, there were some blown components around the BQ chip. (The BQ chip itself - BQ24780S, the low side battery mosfet (shorted), and a resistor -> all replaced)
Now, with a new battery the system will start up and run off...05-13-2024, 09:40 AM
