I was struggling to find on internet ME Fw 16.1 27.2225 Corporate LP ADP A for HP 640 G10 and I had the idea to use MFIT 16.1 to extract ME Firmware from update package and ... it works!
What I did:
1. Downloaded bios update from HP that corresponds with my bios version (V75 01.02.03)
2. unpack bios update and there is a bin file , in my case V75_01020300.bin
3. Decompose V75_01020300.bin with MFIT 16.1
4. Hit "Build" tab. MFIT will create image "FWUpdate.bin"

But now. once want to check MEA , freeze, not appear (Blank)

Steps I described were enough to extract ME firmware from update package, as you can see in photos I had no trouble to open it with MEA. Tell me what update package you used, I will try myself and see what happens.

yes, all you're described is good enough and can understand it. after got the FWUpdate.bin, MEA can check the file but once put back into FIT got issue CSE region issue.

in my case : ME 16.1.30.2330 and FIT 16.0.15.1545

and try to edit using HXD also didnt work.
