I wish to add to this very good comment, that I encountered a lot of times MX25LXXX (MXP) WSON8 chips being damaged by heat.
So try replace the chip with a Winbond W25QXXX (check if it's in your VSCC table...)...Leave a comment:

Not required...I opened a few config.txts and found the row but it's empty.

I was only talking about what I had encountered so far...
I'm 99.99% sure it's not a whitelist issue.
Post your BIOS dump and maybe someone has the knowledge to check it and see if it's a way to enable your WiFi card....Leave a comment:

Before jumping to Nuvoton read/write please test my patched version.
Thanks and waiting for a feedback.

I think that your WiFi card is not supported with or without whitelisting...
If you have whitelisting problem then you must see some message at startup like:
Wireless module not supported.
The system has detected a Wireless module installed in the system is not supported. System halted. Please remove device and restart.
Bluetooth Module ID (704)
or
Wireless module not supported.
The system has detected a Wireless module installed in the system is not supported. System halted. Please remove device and restart.
WLAN Module ID (702)

Here is the HP BIOS Configuration Utility (BCU) tool. On Youtube you will find plenty examples how to use:

This is your requested info:

If you refer to HP BCU Tool as HP DMI software, then yes you must copy every data to the corresponding line in config.txt.
But first you must enter the machine in MPM mode (Manufacturing Program Mode)....Leave a comment:

Yes, of course you can try the autopatcher.
Then you can Load Defaults (F9) and maybe the error will disappear.
If not you probably need to rewrite your DMI info with Lenovo U1 or Golden key this will rewrite your CRC. There is plenty of info about dowload and usage here :
1.- https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...r-bootable-usb
2.- https://github.com/ASparkOfFire/lenovo-u1-tool...Last edited by Stefan Steff; 10-29-2025, 01:30 PM.Leave a comment:

Well...you need to do some work to get that info...
First try this value : 30000000020000001A1111015DAD0A00A017742FF782D80100018F2A1A0F11015DAD0A0010A0E132F782D80100018D2A
If not working you need to rewrite the original dump
Start Windows and use BCU tool to GET your CONFIG file and there you will find the needed data.
Write back the patched file use BCU tool and insert the needed line/data
As example look on this picture (Yours can be other...just an example)
