Re: ESR meter upgrades
Tried "testing-swap12.zip" but just like the others there was only backlight."The one who says it cannot be done should never interrupt the one who is doing it."Comment

Re: ESR meter upgrades
shit.
have to think about this until vince pins out that display to the pinstrip on the backing board.
and the socketstrip on the mainboard to the cpu for that matter - his underside photo was not good enough to get that part.
what i have is this:
1 - gnd
2 - atmel pin 2?
3 - atmel pin ?
4 - atmel pin ?
5 - atmel pin 5?
6 - +5v
7 - gnd
8 - +v (led)
9 - gnd (led)
pin1 on the socketstrip is at the outer edge - can you trace/meter the atmel pins to the display connector?
i suspect the atmel is using pins 2,3,4 & 5Comment

Re: ESR meter upgrades
I already did, back in this post I tracked the Atmel CPU to the pinstrip.
And it was exactly as the schematic I linked on the previous page."The one who says it cannot be done should never interrupt the one who is doing it."Comment

Re: ESR meter upgrades
As now verified by vinceroger69 as well
I now tried all firmwares in "testing-chips.zip"
The only one which gave scrolling text like with the previous files quoted below was the 7565 display firmware.
All others just had blank display with backlight lit.
