I didn't want to know how, but just to know if the principle is the same as my technique and if it was used to find the solution

Magic touch weird, there are still similarities

one more thing, lenovo have had problems due to the security issue you described in this thread (shorting technique), that is (one thing) why they adapted the design with the newer generation of thinkpads, but there will always be security issues...

thank you, it's been a long time since I've been here, I reread the messages in my feed.

As for the dead processors, I believed on several occasions that they had killed the card but each time when idle the card restarts. We clearly see an increase in current consumption when the shunt is made and the freeze.

As for models that worked before but no longer work, I think a bios downgrade is necessary because we now know that changes were made following this.

The only PC I killed was an X390 when I played around with modifying the Lenovo utility to remove the password.
I replaced 54h with 57h but I made a mistake in my modification.
                      The EC is corrupt now

They have the patch via BIOS. If you focus on the video, the BIOS chip is desolder. I told you this before, for people from Algeria and Morocco
Maybe the same way (via patching BIOS).

we have the authorization to modify certain blocks with the utility but blocks 6/7 are prohibited if password is configured. I tried to fake the blocks.
we also notice that the cleaning is contained in the utility so I tried things on this side

I'm wondering... I didn't succeed with this method on a Lenovo Thinkpad E15 Gen 2 laptop (I could enter the BIOS easily but the double-enter empty password was never saved in my situation). Is there a chance that Lenovo closed this security hole in their BIOS? Should I try to flash an older BIOS before I try this again? Is there any chance or it won't help at all?

I have some personal opinions and discussions about MEC PASSWORD CLEAR By Pass.
                                          Scenario 1:
Assume that the foundry is burning to MEC. If the wrong version is burned during the process, if an error is found on the SMD production line during startup, it will be a huge undertaking to clean it up according to the method (moving resistors, soldering wires, and burning).
Therefore, it is unlikely to use this method to burn MEC on the production line (if the motherboard needs to be replaced according to the Nnotebook service and repair station, assuming that the factory production line error occurs and PASWWORD is turned on, does the whole batch of motherboards need to be replaced and then scrapped? The factory or Does the company allow this practice? There is no other way to solve it) So there should be a way to eliminate it?

                                          Scenario 2:
Assuming that the MEC is installed on the SMD production line, and then directly burned into it using an internally developed program after power-on testing, it is more in line with the current situation (no matter what happens, there is no need to move the soldering iron, move the resistor, or weld the wire)
