Hello,
I have a MacBook Air 13 inches 2014.
I have set a EFI password and I can't remember it : now I want to reinstall macOS and I can't because the MacBook is asking for the password.
I know how to remove the password with a usb programmer.
I plug the usb programmer to the motherboard and to my pc with usb, I read the EFI and I save it to a file.
Then I have to find this value in the file : $SVS because it indicate where is the password.
But I can't find the value.

Sorry for the inconvenience, I have a problem with an Asus, it turns on, it tries to start or the image freezes or it restarts, it doesn't let me put a system on it or put a disk with a system on it, it restarts them all, by chance I would have the Bios for this model

Hello,
I have a A1706 with 820-00923-A board. The laptop came in with non-working keyboard. I bought a new top-cover with keyboard and transfered everything to the new topcover.
Since then the macbook will not charge or power-up. Before replacing top cover, I started the macbook to test, and it worked fine apart from keyboard. Then shut it down and did replacement.
This is what I measure so far:
Resistance from F7000 to ground is 123 Ohm on pin 1 and 2
PPBUS_G3H = 0,79v
PPBUS_HS_CPU = 0,79v
PPBUS_HS_OTH5V = 0,79v

I am struggling with a Clevo NL51RU linux laptop that does not boot because of a corrupt main bios.
I did not succeed to build a new bios. Maybe somebody has more experience with this laptop and can build a working bios for me or has a working dump.

Hello to everyone.
My [B]W26361-W84-X-02[/B] motherboard starts but don't show image (no logo screen neither bios). Because, I have two of them I desoldered the bios chip from the no working motherboard and I soldered it to the working motherboard and the motherboard works OK, so the bios firmware isn't the problem. Below I took some measurements from the no working motherboard when is power on. Also, I replaced the RAM and didn't work again (maybe some pins from the RAM slot don't have the right voltage?). I need to find a replacement for this diode on one of the six gate drivers of a full-bridge IGBT inverter for a servo motor. It has S3 on the package. How can I find out for sure the right diode that I need. I believe it is schottky because it has 0.2V drop across.
The anode is on pin Ve and cathode on pin DESAT on 316J gate driver IC. Also would be nice if anyone had an idea of the purpose it is serving as it is not included in the suggested schematic of the 316J datasheet.

I am repairing the A2780 (M2Pro 16").
There is no schematics and board view of A2708 yet, so I am referring 820-02100 (A2485).
Stuck 5.2V, 0.02A
'PP3V8_AON' short on diode mode and no voltage.
'PP3V8_AON_MPMU' short on diode mode.
'PPBUS_AON' looks fine. 12.3V
'PPVIN_P3V8AON' looks fine(not short on diode mode), 12.3V
I tried to remove the U5700, Q5800, Q5820, Q5840 and PP3V8 aond still stuck.
It seems to be a problem in the process of moving from 'PPBUS_AON' to 'PP3V8_AON'.
