I think some of these programmers are faulty, I have gone thru the same issue like you. If you select Nuvoton and try to read it does not detect and if you try support for Svod you don't get any useful help. But the only way I was albe to read the NPCX997 but with ERROR 20 was to select motherboard and click read the same time you connect the charger... -
Sorry I forgot to say that I can only get that error reading when I select motherboard, if I select Nuvoton and config I can't detect anything but when I select NM-F261 motherboard and read ID it will give me ERROR 20Leave a comment:

Thank you James Bond, I have done what you say from 1 to 11 and I get error 20, when I ask SVOD4 Support they say "arm not answer" maybe there is differences on the circuit between T14 GEN 3- NM-E441 and T14 GEN 4-NM-F261 on the NPCX997 circuit on the schematic although they look similar although I see someone able to read it on NM-F261...Leave a comment:

Thank you for the reply but I am starting to believe that my SVOD 4 is defective. 5 days I am trying to read this ic. The response from SVOD support is poor they don't give anything to work with. If you plug charger on the motherboard without cmos battery and main battery does your board power on because I see you mention CMOS battery. When I plug charger on my board it does not power on by its self so could that contribute...

Yes but the bottom cover is written Inspiron and the mother board code is LA-L24LP REV 1.0 . If I download the bios file from Dell update it's written Inspiron_Vostro_3420_3520_1.30.0...

Hello guys I have Dell Inspiron 3520, Service Tag F3L1PY3 which is not coming on.
