don't save anything, follow Maxpower3 steps:
Don't save with F10, just clean Pwd with Enter twice. and reset security chip. Then restart with ctrl+alt+del

      Thank you so much!
It still has blue screen when windows is starting up but I'll try to install a new one and try Lenovo Golden Key
just clean Pwd with Enter twice AND CLEAR SECURITY CHIP
or try type a new password
      Then CTRL ALT DEL

This message appears when you press F10, it's not necessary!

      MEC16 33/53/63.
The timing is a bit annoying; you have to start shunt earlier.
Each EC has a different timing.

Thank you very much, volinakis and Maxpower3. I don't know, I must have had brain fog and wasn't following the Maxpower3 steps. Everything works now — thank you so much

One more problem with this Lenovo model: pressing Enter twice or entering a new password doesn't confirm that the password has been saved. After restarting the laptop, the password is still not removed.

I did that, but earlier there was no confirmation that the changes were saved when I pressed Enter twice

what I can tell you for sure is that I didn't have problems in clearing passwords following Maxpower3 steps. And I used this method tens of times.

Which EC, ITE doesn't work sometimes.
Try Boot F12 with shunt and golden key. Delete eeprom

It saves when I press Enter—if I reset the CMOS jumper on the motherboard with the battery disconnected, before connecting the power adapter.
