Can someone suggest how to change the values so that the option to disable Absolute in the BIOS becomes available?...

Can someone help with removing Absolute on this model? I'm trying to find Absolute in the hex editor but not AbtState, without success. Do I need to wipe another sector or use a different method for this model?

It saves when I press Enter—if I reset the CMOS jumper on the motherboard with the battery disconnected, before connecting the power adapter.Leave a comment:

I did that, but earlier there was no confirmation that the changes were saved when I pressed Enter twice...Leave a comment:

One more problem with this Lenovo model: pressing Enter twice or entering a new password doesn't confirm that the password has been saved. After restarting the laptop, the password is still not removed....Leave a comment:

Thank you very much, volinakis and Maxpower3. I don't know, I must have had brain fog and wasn't following the Maxpower3 steps. Everything works now — thank you so muchLeave a comment:

Thank you volinakis, it works — I can enter the BIOS, but for some reason I can't save any changes. I get the same message every time. I'm only having this issue with this model. Is it possible that the EC is write-protected?Leave a comment:

Can you confirm whether pin 10 needs to be used on this model please?...Leave a comment:

I have a problem with this Lenovo ThinkPad T490 model, type 20N3, serial number 21R1A6. Using the EC bypass method, I can access the BIOS settings, but when I try to reset the supervisor password, it shows an error
Formset Main 1247C8E8... Failed to save storage. System. Status:Write Protected.
Legacy boot on/ Security boot OFF.
If I reset the password without saving with F10, the password comes back and I can't enter the BIOS.Leave a comment:
