    Thanks for your response boss!
This laptop came with a corrupted BIOS (bricked / no start / no led) so I found a working bios online but I couldn't get past the BIOS password thing.

I'm stuck at "Entering Setup" boss.
I flashed all the BIOSes you provided and the first one asked me to enter a valid code or something so I chose 1234
and after that the Password requirement never showed up but I'm stuck a this "Entering Setup" message.
Tried all the BIOSes and same thing.

Give me the name. Who is the first?

              Patched is autopatcher

[ HOW TO USE THE PATCH ]
STEP 1: Flash and replace current BIOS with the generated patch file
              STEP 2: Boot the machine
STEP 3: Press ENTER/F1/etc. to enter BIOS settings
STEP 4: Enter any character when asked for Supervisor Password
STEP 5: Press enter when it shows Hardware ID
STEP 6: Press space bar 2x when asked
              STEP 7: Turn off machine
              STEP 8: Restore original BIOS
STEP 9: Reset BIOS settings to factory default

              [ NOTES ]
When booting the patched BIOS you might have to:
              - Hold the anti-tamper switch down the whole time (use tape)
              - Remove the hard disk or replace it with a locked one

              https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...al#post1809652

NOPWD and NOPWD NVar is no pasword forever.

Enter clean password bios twice and Clear security chip
              After restore original bios

              retry other version of autopatcher

I tried everything but it's stuck at "Entering Setup" boss.
When I remove the NVME it's stuck at the LENOVO logo.
Maybe the BIOS I found is not compatible with the model?
I found the original BIOS from the Lenovo Website but I don't know how to modify it to the actual BIN file to flash:

I think I messed up big time for not following your steps when I first flashed the bios_PATCHED.bin.
Now no matter what firmware file I flash I'm stuck at "Entering Setup".
No password required, nothing, just stuck at this message.
Maybe the ITE chip got a wrong infoermation or something! :'(
Anyway thank you for your help boss!

Have you tried the last file in the post? 25Q128FV without patch. Just this one.

Windows boot and work ?? just bios setup stuck

If Windows is working, check the password status using PowerShell and a script.

Or use the Lenovo Golden Key USB flash drive.
                          EEPROM Operations/EEPROM Dump (last page)
                          Capture the screen.

no solution for this one, it has MEC1503 as EC, some reporting that changing EC with a new chipset solve the problem.

                                Boss, the laptop finally worked!!!
I flashed the 25Q128FV rom and it finally entered the BIOS menu!
                                Thank you so much!
It still has blue screen when windows is starting up but I'll try to install a new one and try Lenovo Golden Key

I have a problem with this Lenovo ThinkPad T490 model, type 20N3, serial number 21R1A6. Using the EC bypass method, I can access the BIOS settings, but when I try to reset the supervisor password, it shows an error
Formset Main 1247C8E8... Failed to save storage. System. Status:Write Protected.
Legacy boot on/ Security boot OFF.
If I reset the password without saving with F10, the password comes back and I can't enter the BIOS.

                                    Hi Maxpower3 ,
thank you very much for your guide, I have succesful removed the supervisor password from my T490 NM-B901, even without removing the MB. I removed the SSD, my additional RAM and the battery before the procedure.
To help others as well, I have grounded the pin 10 with 12 on J9301 wich is next to the additional DDR slot.
                                    Attaching some pictures for clarification.
                                    Good luck! 😉

Can you confirm whether pin 10 needs to be used on this model please?

you can use pin 6, 8 or 10 shorted to the ground. 10 is better because is close to 12 which is ground. My method for laptops who have LPC port: power on laptop and after 3 seconds I short pin 10-12 with a small screwdriver 3 times while I press F1 repeatedly. It works almost every time.

Thank you volinakis, it works — I can enter the BIOS, but for some reason I can't save any changes. I get the same message every time. I'm only having this issue with this model. Is it possible that the EC is write-protected?
