I have no idea what happened before.
Now I am getting 000.4 in both instances.
Plug disconnected from the socket yes.
Just to be clear what I am doing,,one probe is on the IR out test point circled and the other is on the ground side of the capacitor also circled.
Is this the correct procedure.?

CORRECTION! CORRECTION! I look real close at the 7-pin connector of the IR receiver module again and did more research about this IR receiver board, PIN 1 of the connector is the IR out, NOT PIN 2! PIN 2 is circuit GND.
So retest the IR OUT at pin 1 of the connector again, ground point is still at the GND as marked.
I found board layout for TNPA5915 which is basically the same board layout as TNPS61010, I found out by searching where TNPA6010 is used in.

What are those readings? Ohms? Volts?
Check the Voltage at the IR out as shown in the updated pictures to see if you get any Voltage activities when you hit the remote control buttons.

Ok at those new test points,
I am now getting a voltage drop when remote buttons pressed.
Power button forces volt drop from 3.2 to 2.9v
Other buttons 3.2v to 3.1v

I guess ill try a universal remote.

So you do see activities at the IR OUT test point as shown in the updated pictures?
If that is the case, the IR module is not dead. May be you do need to get the correct remote for this TV.

So we can conclude that from these tests it MUST be the wrong remote.?

Not 100% since the IR OUT may not be 100% good, we only know that it has activity but may not be putting out proper signal.
The remotes that you have right now, what TV models are they made for?

Genuine Panasonic remotes.
One is for the tx 48cx400b .The other I bought specifically for this tv.I dont know the original model it was for.

One is for the tx 48cx400b .The other I bought specifically for this tv.I dont know the original model it was for.

These look like the remotes for Vestel made Panasonic TVs, your TV is a proper Panasonic. I wonder if that is the issue.

These look like the remotes for Vestel made Panasonic TVs, your TV is a proper Panasonic. I wonder if that is the issue.

Actually,
I did take a look at the mainboard of the other Panasonic and you are correct.!!
It has a Vestel board. Will be getting a universal today and will update.

Hi guys,
I can confirm the tv works fine with a genuine non vestel remote.
So would this mean there are 00s of customers out there scratching their heads wondering why the tv doesnt work after they lose the original remote and happen to purchase a vestel one.?

Just have to match the remote to the TV model.
