Google Pixel 5 - Proximity Sensor Issues - Reflow/Replacement procedure tipps wanted

    Hi,
I just replaced the battery on a Google Pixel 5.
After that the proximity sensor isn't functioning properly any more. It is constantly activated. So when playing a voice message on Whatsapp, the Screen instantly turns off.
Checking with a sensor app I can verify weird behavior of the sensor. It is triggered when nothing is near and sometimes works correctly when squeezing the phone next to the sensor hole.
The rubber seal is on again (as mentioned in various suggestions in other forums).

This smells like a cold or broken solder joint. So I'd like to reflow it. But the sensor sits on some sort of plastic socket and I'm not to sure it will resist the heat.

I do have proper equipment and some experience in micro soldering.
I'm interested in experience and tipps on how to approach this thing.

    Thanks an BR!

An answer to myself for future reference:
I just tried it with 300 °C with 50% airflow and it came off easy without melting. Reflowed it and now the sensor is working again.
The "plastic" seems to be some sort of PCB-like material.

AcuRite 5 in 1 temperature sensor replacement repair
        by CapLeaker
        Got a new victim:

AcuRite 5 in 1 Iris outdoor weather station not updating the temperature / humidity anymore. The original sensor is a SHT21. Also there are identical other sensor manufacturers. I chose the HTU21D to replace the original SHT21. Both have identical specs. I've had two failure modes with these sensors.
A: outside temp stuck at -40? It's cold here at times in Canada, but not that cold!
B: stuck at some temperature and maybe updating once in 12 hrs or so.

Easy solution is to go to AcuRite website and purchase the sensor. Right?...

HP Victus 16 Hall Effect Sensor Problem
        by mitchw
I am repairing a HP Victus 16 with black screen, blinking screen, etc. Quick googling provided me the answer that the lid detect hall sensor is the issue. Confirmed with disconnecting the IR board (that contains also the hall effect sensor). Laptop itself is just over a year old, but out of warranty.

Apparently the sensor itself is a TCS40DLR, which fails after just months of use at elevated temperatures.
Now which one is the best to replace with?
Some suggested A1126LLHLT-T, but they had to modify the power supply to supply the 3.3V instead of 1.8V, as the sensor wasn't...

        Projector focus motor sensor
        by Gruvytune
        Hi.

I have a formovie xming v1 ultra projector.

The focusing sensor circuit for lens travel position isn't working. It's a new unit and it goes to either end of travel and keeps clicking and won't reverse direction.

The focusing itself works as long as it operates in the middle range of lens position.

        Here’s the siste summary
        • The Problem: The focus motor will not stop or reverse at the ends of travel. It stalls and clicks violently. This exact behavior happened on the original factory motor before it stripped, and it happens
