JVC LT-50CF890(c) lines on screen, trying tape method
Hi again all,
I’m busy trying to sort this tv out JVC LT-50CF890 (c) , originally i had nothing on the screen, but after removing the Tcon strips off I got half a picture, now while trying the tape method I have a complete picture but after the boot screen I’m getting lines , I will upload photos & any help would be appreciated ... -
Found it , wow , I’m actually glad I haven’t ever tried to lie about myself on here saying that I’m all this & that, obviously the more technical people on here with knowledge I could only dream of having would of known that this is a chip extractor …. A chip extractor to me is the grilled handle on a deep fryer 🤣🤣 ...

I've just bought myself a new Yihua 968da+ mk3 , I’ve got it all together now but I don’t know what this is or & where it goes, it’s obviously nothing important judging from the size of it but I think I had the same with my last Yihua rework station but I just left it in the box that time ... -
No way, I think it was either the remote receiver board or the standby light board, I was putting it back together & I think one of those might have circuited it as they were lose when I was moving the tv , well it looks like I’ve repaired & broken another tv whilst putting it back together, usually it’s the screen that gets broken 🤬🤬Leave a comment:

I bought a universal remote & I got the tv working but when putting it back together I’ve managed to undo my good work, I think I’ve burned out a coff , is there anything I can do to fix this? I’ve marked the tcon board in yellow, when I touch the tcon in the yellow part I get a picture...

I’ve been on eBay & I found a board for a Toshiba 47L7453D , I’ve messaged the seller & he asked for a picture of the tcon board he said that it will work my tv , I will upload the photos of his board , could anyone confirm that it will work with my tv before I order it please...

I’ve just tried changing the inputs, I’ve only got a scart leaded player here but it’s working on it , as for trying to reset it I can’t get into any settings menu and I entered the service menu but maybe the wrong one as I couldn’t see a reset option, I will upload photos now ...

When I remove the cable I marked in red there’s a slight buzz & the bottom half of the screen goes darker as in the picture with the blue line and arrows ...

Also when I say nothing else works
I do get the Apps menu on screen when I press the home button but I cant access any of them apart from the screen mirror, I can’t get into the tv settings as there is no settings menu available so I can’t update channels or connect the tv to the internet & I don’t have a home router as I use my mobile hotspot so I can’t use the LAN plug , I will upload more pictures of the screen now , I hope I have made things a bit clearer now...Leave a comment:

Toshiba 55l7453d screen on but nothing else works
Hi all, I’ve just acquired a Toshiba 55l7453d smart tv , I bridged 2 leds as I originally thought it was the backlights but once I got the picture on I can’t access anything else, no guide no internet no nothing , I will upload photos of the boards, I’ve tried looking for a USB firmware update but can’t seem to find anythingLast edited by Chrissygizmo; 09-16-2025, 05:52 PM.
