Is the fuse (red body) F2 (right next to ZD4) OK?

This was what I did in t he lab to test the UPS without having the batteries around, it is just enough to make the UPS run at low AC load.
I use old UPS transformer 120VAC side fed by the VARIAC, the low Voltage side (low Voltage high current winding which was used to be driven by the MOSFET's and get the DC from the batteries) is connected to high current bridge rectifier and lot of high capacitor bank.
for example if the 12V output is drawing 10A, the AC side fed by VARIAC will only draw a little over 1ACA. With is setup you...Leave a comment:

The schematic drawing does not match the board layout, for example: the resistor 8061 is directly connected between Base and the Collector pin of the Transistor, but the drawing shows it has Thermistor connected to the Base first then to the 8061 resistor.
Did you use diode mode to test the junctions of this Transistor?Leave a comment:

If it is that hot I wonder what the junction Temp of the LED is.
Typical 1W white LED has junction temp max of around 110c.

LCD TV will have T-CON. It can be stand alone T-CON board, integrated T-CON into the LCD panel, or integrated T-CON into the main board.

Bad caps can be replaced if you have experience with SMD repair and have proper tools.

You can try testing resistance of the MLCC (Multi Layer Ceramic Capacitors) on the tab bonding boards to see if any of them show low resistance reading.Leave a comment:

Are the tab bonding boards on the bottom edge of the LCD panel?
Inspect the tab bonding boards for any sign of damage and also check the resistance on the MLCC's (Multi Layer Ceramic Cap) of the tab bonding boards to see if any of them show low resistance reading....Leave a comment:

Pin 1 and 2 are in the hot side, so the circuit ground will be the negative leg of the main filter cap in the hot side. What ground did you use?
And the reason I have you measure right between the two leg so the meter is not reference to the circuit gnd, we are measuring the Vf of the LED inside the Opto.
BTW, when the meter shows -1 that tend to indicate over range....Leave a comment:

Not going to work as design at heavy load, the inverters can easily draw 5A or more. I would replace all 3 of them that is what I would do first. When cap is domed up like that the ESR will be high and the capacitance can also drop down in value too, you can also have bad cap with no sign of bulging at all but it can have high ESR.
If you look at the traces from each white fuse back to the 24V power connector, you will see it all connected through a bunch of '0' jumper (black device with '0' printed on top),...Leave a comment:
