can't get a menu, flow chart says if 12 and 3.3 are good at g board then go for the a board but says if no menu seen, then it's lvds cable, tcon or panel, tried a couple different tcons, same results.Last edited by nomoresonys; 12-16-2014, 08:22 AM.Comment

I was getting the solid red, green, blue then striped loop on screen, that seems to have went away, I got different a board, with the first one I have to unplug the bl-on connector from a board to g board, then backlights come on, soon as the connector make contact the lights go off, with second a board, I can have the bl-on connected but if everything is hooked up no backlight or anything, if I disconect lvds cable from a board side, backlights come on in 8 seconds BUT if unplug lvds cable from tcon side, no backlighs or anything and whatever I do the sony logo never lights up, not sure if it is suppose to and I never get a menu.Comment

I have one of these tv's and the problem was no video, it was a tab bond problem, I repaired it but still is intermitint

not sure, was getting a test pattern loop, now that's gone, just solid color screen but only with lvds cable unplugged from the a board side, when lvds cable unplugged from tcon side, no backlight or anything.Comment

have a phillips, jvc and sharp, working proper but none of them have red standby light when off and plugged in.Comment

I just checked my Sony Kdl-46S4100, When it is pluged in there are no led's lit. only when the power button is pushed does a green led light up. when turned off the green led turns off.Comment

I found two capacitors on the board and one of the leads on one capacitor had bad soldering joint and the other joint connections not much better and there were several soldering joints that way to much flux around the joint redid several of them
The capacitors were a non brand that I did not recognize they got replaced and now it does not oscillating between relay but what concerns me a little bit is when the voltage is a little bit low the output voltage is around 130 volts and then drops down to 115 volts this happens around 105 to 108 volts if remember correctly

Fail: Does not charge battery, has low voltaje on connector.
Laptop didn't want to turn on, only charge led blinked.
I found PQB5 (mosfet high battery charger) in short, voltaje in +12.6V_BATT was 19 v ...
I changed it, changed PQB6 too and now battery charger voltage is 4.4V but battery is 3 cell, 11.25v, then is very low to charging.
Laptop turns on without battery and works fine, but with battery turns on and turns off inmediately, I suspect battery bad but I don't know... -
I want to know if I could hook up a solar panels to this boost converter would I have any issues doing and I would have issues what would they be
