Re: Sanyo dp42848. No picture no sound?has anyone found the problem

First using Ohm mode to check the resistance between those pins of the transformer to see if it has open windings, it should show really low ohms.
Second, we will test the rectifiers by setting the meter in Diode testing mode. please see the notes on the picture.

"take the reading between pin 12 and 13, and 12 and 14 of that transformer T1"
Can you verify the reading of the transformer?
        12 & 13 = xxxx Ohms
        12 & 14 = xxxxx Ohms.

Then in Diode mode reading of the two rectifiers for the 24V?

Can I see the picture of the meter?
So you are reading 7.75 Ohms on the transformer? I do not expect it to be that high at all.

Re: Sanyo dp42848. No picture no sound?has anyone found the problem

Is the meter set to 2K Ohms as shown in the picture, if it is that means it is showing 7.75K ohms (7750 Ohms!).Set it to '200' Ohms range and take the reading again. I expect it to be less than one Ohm. What resistance do you get when you short the meter leads together?
Your meter does have Diode mode.
I also drew up simplified diagram, as you can see, there is not much for the 24vdc section at all.

Set to 200 to verify the resistance of the transformer windings. That resistance reading of 7.75 Ohms/K Ohms is not right at all.
Set to Diode mode to test the Diode that I asked to check.
Please go on line and learn how to test the Diodes and resistance.
Right now we have narrowed it down to the 24V output section, the 12v is owrking so the T1 section for the 12v and the driving circuits are functionong OK, only the 24 section is not right, especially the DC resistance reading of 7.75???? is not right at all.
I am getting a little frustrated right now on giving the instructions to follow with all the pictures and the diagrams that I had provided so far.
May he should by a new board and get it over with.

My readings are listed in the link I provided. The TV is back together and hanging on the wall. I'm probably not going to take it down and open it back up until there is a fault of somekind. I don't know though, crazier things have happened.

                                            Hi all,

hopefully someone on this board has an idea on how to begin with troubleshooting this problem.

The monitor AOC AGON AG273QCG (curved 27" QHD monitor) has problems refreshing every 1 to 2 seconds or so. A line appears in the middle of the screen and the lower half of the screen is shifted to the right.

                                            See attached picture.

I am leaning towards an issue with bad soldering of the graphics chip, because the problem used to go away after some time (minutes) but now it is here to stay.
However, this could also be related...

T-con suspect issue. Both ribbon cables no picture. One ribbon cable ok. (58pus8545)

Hi guys! I realized you have a lot of knowledge here so i am hoping you could point me in right direction with my odd issue.

The Tv is a Philips 58PUS8545/12, it had no picture but working backlights.

                                            Original T-con:
Opened the Tv and tested to unplug one ribbon cable at a time. With this test i could see that i got fine picture on both halves as long as there was only one ribbon cable connected, with two connected picture were gone.

                                            First replacement T-con:

I thought it might be t-con and ordered new t-con from china(supposedly tested)...

Hello gurus, hope you can assist me...

I have a Sony KDL.40P3600, with an issue on the left side of the screen (pictures attached).

I think the problem is the panel, but before send it to trash, i would like to get a second opinion.

                                            Thanks in advance.

                                            Hello all

I pick this up free as a repair project for the holidays.
The original symptom was power cycling after 3-4 seconds with a single red light flash.

To remedy this I went through and unplugged each component 1x1 and discovered that when the FFC cables were disconnected the backlights stayed on and the TV did not reboot.

I tried remove one or the other to see which side of the display was causing the issue (expecting to see half a picture to show) but didn't see anything. But the boot loop only appears when the top FFC cable (right side...
