Re: Sanyo dp42848. No picture no sound?has anyone found the problem

Its easier of us to read if you post them as
      1 Ps-on 4.88
      2 sgnd 0.0
      3 sgnd 0.0
      4 5v 4.96 and so on

Did you still get nothing on 24v.

Another check on the PSON -can you switch the tv off and test the pson and hold the
probes in place as you turn the tv on - (you may need help with that)

Please can you update your profile with at least country and mains voltage.
Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

The timezone is the same one you set at registration, but you can alter it under "User CP" -> "Settings & Options" -> "Date & Time Options".

Many users here are in the USA. I am in the UK. Several are from Romania and other parts of Europe. Several Ozzies, too. I know there is also at least one member from Japan here.

On the bottom of my screen it says GMT-6. It is one reason I ask you to update your profile 2 or three posts down I will not remember you are Houston so tomorrow morning I could be wondering why you are not
              responding
Similarly when you post at 8pm Hopefully I will be asleep.

If you have a 24V, 10A power supply, sure, you can supply it separately.

Can I get good clear pictures of both sides of the power supply board, I need to see how this 24v section is controlled.

OK, the 12vdc and the 24vdc are generated by the same transformer and circuits, since you are getting the 12VDC OK, then you have problem in the 24vdc rectifying circuits. I can see bad solder joints. Also take the resistance reading on those two points.

OK, take the reading between pin 12 and 13, and 12 and 14 of that transformer T1.
                                    RECTIFIERS check, see picture.
By the way, just to be sure, you do have 12vdc reading when you hit the TV power switch and the 12v is there but no 24v, is that correct?

                                            Hi all,

hopefully someone on this board has an idea on how to begin with troubleshooting this problem.

The monitor AOC AGON AG273QCG (curved 27" QHD monitor) has problems refreshing every 1 to 2 seconds or so. A line appears in the middle of the screen and the lower half of the screen is shifted to the right.

                                            See attached picture.

I am leaning towards an issue with bad soldering of the graphics chip, because the problem used to go away after some time (minutes) but now it is here to stay.
However, this could also be related...

T-con suspect issue. Both ribbon cables no picture. One ribbon cable ok. (58pus8545)

Hi guys! I realized you have a lot of knowledge here so i am hoping you could point me in right direction with my odd issue.

The Tv is a Philips 58PUS8545/12, it had no picture but working backlights.

                                            Original T-con:
Opened the Tv and tested to unplug one ribbon cable at a time. With this test i could see that i got fine picture on both halves as long as there was only one ribbon cable connected, with two connected picture were gone.

                                            First replacement T-con:

I thought it might be t-con and ordered new t-con from china(supposedly tested)...

Hello gurus, hope you can assist me...

I have a Sony KDL.40P3600, with an issue on the left side of the screen (pictures attached).

I think the problem is the panel, but before send it to trash, i would like to get a second opinion.

                                            Thanks in advance.

                                            Hello all

I pick this up free as a repair project for the holidays.
The original symptom was power cycling after 3-4 seconds with a single red light flash.

To remedy this I went through and unplugged each component 1x1 and discovered that when the FFC cables were disconnected the backlights stayed on and the TV did not reboot.

I tried remove one or the other to see which side of the display was causing the issue (expecting to see half a picture to show) but didn't see anything. But the boot loop only appears when the top FFC cable (right side...
