Re: Hp ellİtebook 840 g5 bios password
Thanks, I tried this- now the keyboard/powerlights come on, then the power light flashes orange 30 times, then 7 times & it powers off.
I haven't flashed the 16MB chip yet as I wanted to make sure I fixed this problem first, but should I flash it to work with your file?
Thanks againComment

Re: Hp ellİtebook 840 g5 bios password
Hello, you must first solve the 32mb chip, it must turn on again, locked, leaving your original copy, if you still have no image, you must check the soldering of your chip on the board, you must also check the components that are around your chip, maybe some microcomponent came out. Upload an image of that sector to verify...Thanks, I tried this- now the keyboard/powerlights come on, then the power light flashes orange 30 times, then 7 times & it powers off.

Hi, I have an HP Elitebook 840 G5 and I need the bios password removing. I tried the 16mb file on the RC unlocker and the password remains. Then I tried the 32MB file on the HP unlocker and it doesn't boot and only the fans spin up fully but no display. I've attached both 16 and 32mb files. Please could somebody advise or help? Thank you.

Hi again, I have another 840 G5 which came to me as a no boot. I found it was missing the bios chips so I flashed these bios files to doner chips and it now boots. The only issue is that it takes 40 seconds to post so I assumed I needed to clean the ME so using the Intel ME/TXE injector and injected 11.8.70.3626 and it boots but it still takes 40 seconds to post. What should I do to resolve this? Thank you.
I have attached the files.

Intel ME/TXE injector is not recommended for anything above version 7 ME firmware. Clean using the guides

Hello. Can someone help me unlock the 32MB BIOS for 840 G5?
By the way, the question is how is this done? I usually use RCUnlocker but it doesn't work with 32MB files.
Thank you in advance for your help. RegardsAttached FilesPremium supporters get full download access and other benefits.

by TopPopSorry for the long story. I have a Dell Latitude 5530 (i7) laptop (South Peak 15 MLK MB DDR4 203102-1 FK8VG$JA) with an admin BIOS password that I want to remove. Service Tag: HYKFPT3. Other than that the laptop worked OK.
I found a CH341A Black and went looking for the BIOS chip on the motherboard. After trying to read one chip that was a firmware chip but not the BIOS I think I found the BIOS chip labeled Winbond 25Q256JVEN. Altogether I think I found 4 different firmware chips in the laptop. The BIOS chip is a WSON8 6x8. I used the CH341A, NeoProgrammer, and a cheap pogo pin clip... -
by ShadeRunnerHi everyone,
I’m a student currently locked out of the BIOS on my HP EliteBook 830 G6. I bought the laptop second-hand, and the previous owner didn't provide the password. I really need access to the BIOS to change storage settings and boot orders for my studies.
System Details:- Model: HP EliteBook 830 G6
- Processor: Intel Core i5 (8th Gen)
- Serial Number: 5CG0080LKD
- Halt Code (from 3rd fail): qeh11u1kst
I'm hoping someone here can help me generate an SMC.bin file or provide a master password that works for this generation. Any guidance on how to get back...-

by zeniusHello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.
Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...-

by DudebromanHello Hello,
I have been browsing the site and gotten so much useful info from here, including extremely helpful boardviews and several other very useful types of information. I am very grateful to this community, as I have actually eeked out a living from buying salvage PC's & Macbooks and repairing them. So, thank you all in advance!
I have searched and found some useful information regarding my issue, but my case is a bit different than the info I'm finding. But if anyone here can give me any useful advice, it would be highly appreciated.
