Writing someone else's dump to PS5 is possible. I checked personally. You need to choose the right revision. CFI-10XX & CFI-11XX are not compatible! You need to write down W25Q16JV, she is responsible for turning on the power of the console. From the unique data there is a model, and a serial number. They can be corrected by hand in the HEX editor. I have written a dump from CFI-1102A to my CFI-1116B. Now PS5 wants a drive that doesn't exist Who can help with a dump from the Digital Edition of the second revision? I need CFI-1116B

Hi Can you please share the dump of CFI-1102A - Thanks.

              Hello Everyone,
I'm stuck with a CFI-2016A which has a license problem and doesn't register its disc drive (but it works 100% on another console).
PSN logs in 100%, I can download content but as soon as I try to run/play I get "Can't use this content" / "Can't connect to the server to verify your license. Wait a while, and then try again."
Of course, trying to restore license from the PS5 menu fails with error [CE] - [105628] - [2].

Trying to reinstall system from SAFE MODE (forced) with option "Reset PS5 (Reinstall System Software) ends up at 29% systematically with error [CE] - [120239] - [7]
I found a way to get it reinstalled with >>> SAFE MODE (forced) >>> [3.Repair Console Storage] or [4.Update System Software] >>> Reboot >>> asks for USB stick with necessary file >>> all goes well until arriving in PS5 menu where the console acts stable and well.
Only game that starts is Astro's Playground but ends up crashing every single time at the same location in game with error [CE] - [108255] [1].

I suspect NOR to be in cause as I don't know this console's past.

My suspicions might be correct as after dumping the NOR, here are some observations :
              • Latest version installed : 25.05-11.60.00.05
              • PKG reported in NOR : PKG-3486
              • MAC addresses fields are full of [FF]
              • Model not present at 0x001C7230 (16 Bytes) : only a bunch of [FF]
              • Plastic case S/N not present at 0x001C7210 (17 Bytes) : only a bunch of [FF]
              • Strange string present at 0x001C7330 over 16 bytes : PS5GNPXXXXXXXXXX (where XXXXXXXXXX are numbers beginning with 3 zeroes // example : 0001234567)

Does somebody has a CFI-2016(A) NOR dump with southbridge CXD90069GG, WiFi module J20H104 and same version (25.05-11.60.00.05) and PKG-3486 ?

              Thanks !

If it is the original NOR dump you send, than you can write it direct back and test. If not, you can write it back for testing. If it works I would change the console infos Mobo S/N, S/N, Wifi MAC,...

I'm at a loss here. I have a PS5, EDM-020, CFI-1116A, disc version. It has the infamous 3 beeps when I connect a powercord to it and does absolutely nothing after that.

I took off the bios ic, read it, dumped it and checked it with the C0der amazing tool (which btw tells you your file is invalid if it ends with .BIN instead of .bin. Took me some head scratches why it didn't recognize my dump at first).
Looked fine, no signs of corruption tbh.

Anyway, I used the dump someone else here posted (granted, he did say it was "untested") and overwrote the values with the ones from my PS5 using the C0der;s tool and then I used hxd to also correct the mac addresses (which for some reason the tool leaves as read-only). Then loaded it back in the tool to check, all good. Next I erased the IC, wrote the new dump, verified, all good.

But it still does the three beeps.

Can someone please take a look at my bios dumps and see if anything is off or has anyone got access to a known good bin ?

3beeps.bin is the original one I dumped. shouldbecorrect.bin is the one that I wrote back to the IC but despite its name it's still not working

                                Thanks !

p.s. I did take the bios ic off again and dumped it again. It was 100% identical to what I had written to it. So the IC itself should be okay, I guess.

Or if someone (@cobbes maybe ? ) can tell me how to clear the error logs from the original bin ? I have ordered a UART adapter, but if I understand correctly, the errorlogs "live" in the nor anyway, so it's just a matter of FFFFFFFF-ing the relevant address range, I guess ?

edit : Tried to do it myself by copying the 001c5000-001c58f0 range from the cleared file that Cobbes posted a few posts up into my original dump. Still the same three beeps. I don't know what to try next :/ I've attached my original with the cleared block.

I just keep talking to myself, but let's just keep updating.

So, I ordered and received a UART adapter. Installed that today and using PS5 Wee tools I was able to connect. Cleared the errorlog and tried again, still 3 beeps.
Took off the NOR ic again, and wrote back the original dump to it again, so I was back at square one. Placed it back and used UART again to read the errorlogs, and there were some errors, so I cleared those again. At this point I have the exact dump that belongs to this PS5, minus the errorlogs.

                                    And still.. 3 beeps.

I think I have to start thinking about giving up. I do have some brand new ICs coming in, so I will give that a shot, but seeing as the UART reading and clearing the logs went well, I don't really think the IC is faulty.

I think I have to start thinking about giving up. I do have some brand new ICs coming in, so I will give that a shot, but seeing as the UART reading and clearing the logs went well, I don't really think the IC is faulty.
hey were you able to fix it? it could be that the bios ic itself is faulty and need replacement, the dumb file might be okay. just that the ic itself might be fried

Unfortunately not. I've ordered new ic's and even with those still the same three beeps. I have given up.

Request HP Proliant Microserver Gen 8 (J06) BIOS dump to restore system firmware

                                          Hi all,

This is my first post here (I am very new to forums!) and I hope someone can help. I am looking for a full dump of the BIOS of a HP Proliant Microserver Gen 8 so that I can get this mini server running again. (BIOS version J06 2019-04-04, chip 25Q064A). I think my board was partially bricked after a failed BIOS update.

I got it second hand in this state and all the normal attempts at bios restoration have not worked. I have even desoldered the chip and tried to load the actual BIOS from HP, but it is missing some parts needed to boot the system.

                                          I...

Request for MX25VB8035F (1MB) Firmware Dump – Asus TUF Gaming H670-Pro

                                          Hello everyone,

I'm working on an Asus TUF Gaming H670-Pro motherboard and need help finding a firmware dump for the MX25VB8035F (1MB) SPI flash chip.

                                          What Happened:
I mistakenly removed and erased this 1MB chip, thinking it was part of the main BIOS.
                                          • I later found that the board has two main BIOS chips (8MB + 16MB), which I have backups for.
                                          • My backup for the MX25VB8035F chip is just an empty 1MB segment filled with FFs, meaning I have no valid data to restore.
                                          What I Need:
                                          • A firmware dump for the MX25VB8035F chip from the same motherboard (or a compatible
                                          ...

Hello guys i really need help, i recently updated my DS-7208HGHI-K1 and it somehow got bricked, I've got it up and working now by flashing a new dump file i found but the serial number is really wrong and the uploader of the dump file probably intentionally did it.

I still have the bricked dump file is it possible to transfer the serial number of the "bricked dump" to the "working dump"?

Need firmware dump for LG 23MP48HQ-P
                                          by gun4as
Hello everyone, I have an LG 23MP48HQ-P with a mainboard EAX65543134. After a power flicker, the monitor only shows the "No Signal" message but goes to a black screen with a brief flash when an HDMI/VGA cable is plugged in. I cannot enter the OSD menu. All main voltages (18V, 5V, 3.3V) are stable under load. I made a backup of the firmware, but it was *after* the fault occurred, so my backup is likely corrupted. I flashed it back with no change in behavior. I can only find the firmware for the 24M38H model online. Could someone please share a working firmware dump for the 23MP48HQ-P?...
