(New Member), Greetings Everyone, looking for some PS5 wisdom, I have a CFi-1116A (EDM-020) that someone (not me) has got it stuck in IDU mode and it's updated to firmware 9.20, would flashing the bios with a clean working dump get it out of IDU mode? any help would be very welcome.Comment

You can turn off the IDU mode by reading the NOR data by a programmer, edit adress 0x001C9604 = 00 (IDU off) / 01 (IDU on) and write the NOR data back to the ic.(New Member), Greetings Everyone, looking for some PS5 wisdom, I have a CFi-1116A (EDM-020) that someone (not me) has got it stuck in IDU mode and it's updated to firmware 9.20, would flashing the bios with a clean working dump get it out of IDU mode? any help would be very welcome.Comment

Need further help, I've got a PS5 disc edition EDM-020 that had the NOR IC missing when I got it, I got it back up and running by using a bios/NOR IC & matched disc drive from a scrap console, however although the disc drive works fine and I can install & run games from it, if I download a game from PSN when I try to run it a error comes up saying "can't connect to server to verify license", I'm guessing that because the NOR is not matched to the APU/serial number, if this is correct then how do I change the serial number on the NORComment

You can use PS5 Nor Modifier...search on Google, its free...Need further help, I've got a PS5 disc edition EDM-020 that had the NOR IC missing when I got it, I got it back up and running by using a bios/NOR IC & matched disc drive from a scrap console, however although the disc drive works fine and I can install & run games from it, if I download a game from PSN when I try to run it a error comes up saying "can't connect to server to verify license", I'm guessing that because the NOR is not matched to the APU/serial number, if this is correct then how do I change the serial number on the NORComment

Thank you rui4892, I have downloaded the Nor modifier so will give it a try, I'm not sure if changing the serial number will work or not seeing as the NOR & matched disc drive were from another console, only one way to find out, I will let you know how it goes, many thanks for the info.Comment

Still having problems with a PS5 "can't connect to server to verify licenses", tried restoring licences via system menu but it throws up an error code two thirds through (error code CE-105628-2) anyone have any ideas to a solution? tried resetting console, reinstalling systems software via USB etc, the console will install and play games via disk with no problems, it's only games downloaded from PSN that throws up the error & won't start the games, the console updates fine.Comment

by weisianHi all,
I have a VSX-1021 that dropped the UE22 error on me and is no longer was working. I've then done the following:
1. Tried updating the firmware with a firmware I found online but it hangs at 20% and ultimately shows "Update Error 1". I didn't check prior to attempting the firmware upgrade but the firmware after shows "***" for the DSP numbers. This was before I looked online that pushing an update through with a bad DSP chip could corrupt the firmware.
2. Tried reflowing the original DSP chip (D810K013BZKB4000) but firmware version remains "***"...-

by AhariHi all,
This is my first post here (I am very new to forums!) and I hope someone can help. I am looking for a full dump of the BIOS of a HP Proliant Microserver Gen 8 so that I can get this mini server running again. (BIOS version J06 2019-04-04, chip 25Q064A). I think my board was partially bricked after a failed BIOS update.
I got it second hand in this state and all the normal attempts at bios restoration have not worked. I have even desoldered the chip and tried to load the actual BIOS from HP, but it is missing some parts needed to boot the system.
I...-

Hi all,
I’m working on an Aiwa TV-49UF30H that is currently stuck in a bootloop. I’ve done a full teardown and diagnostics and wanted to see if anyone has a firmware dump or matching install.img.
Symptoms:- Without USB: power LED flashes, TV immediately shuts off (bootloop)
- With USB (install.img): green LED + grey screen (appears to enter recovery mode but does not proceed)
What I’ve confirmed:- Main chipset: VM6901
- Storage: eMMC (Kioxia THGBMNG5, integrated MCP under heatsink)
- No SPI flash present on board
- USB recovery bootloader is working and detects

by Daniel_berlHello everyone,
I am working on a dead Dell LA-G341P Rev 1.0 (A00) board. Service tag 3MCP1X2
I already have the 32MB Main BIOS dump, but I urgently need the standalone 1MB (8Mbit) EC / KBC Firmware dump for the Winbond W25Q80DV chip (UT2 / EC Flash).
The laptop is showing 0 signs of life (no LEDs, no power response) despite normal 3.3V/5V standby rails present, so I need to reflash the 1MB EC SPI flash.
If anyone has a working dump from a W25Q80 chip off an LA-G341P board, please share!
Thanks in advance!

by theaarononeI have had this beast in pieces for days going through everything bit by bit - I finally got a chip to read off the main board and it has a high blank / ff count, so I'm wondering if anyone out there has this monitor in working condition that could provide a working firmware?
- Board number: BN41-03169A
- Monitor: Samsung Neo G9 57" LS57CG952NNXZA
- Symptom: No power, FPGA DONE/ALIVE at 0V
- Flash chip: Winbond W25Q128.V
- I've got a dump showing 74% erased/0xFF
- Requesting a good firmware dump from anyone with a working unit
