took your measurements in post 19 and there is no continuity. Shows an open circuit on my meter 200 ohm Range.

You need to use 2K range. It should show about 560 Ohms.

Using 2k range. no continuity between the points you suggested. No continuity between anything on the left side and any of the connections on the right on either transformer.

All show an open connection.

Are you really sure? I just test my board and got the readings as I indicate. My be the legs has too much flux on it, I will doubt that BOTH transformers failed exactly the same way.

Normally !!!! on these its is as budm has shown in his diagram..ie one of the corner pins on the output side of the transformer TO the DIAGONALLY opposite pin on the input side .

Ok, I changed the battery in the DVM, Set the range to 2k, and retested.
On the transformer on the left in Post 19 I still show no connection. I made sure I scraped through into clean solder and i get connectivity with leads on the same side of the transformer.

I am now reading about 550 ohms on the right side transformer between the corner and any connector on the opposite side.

Good - just check again the same pins on the left transformer. Looks like thata is the problem. I couldnt find anything on the part number so getting a replacement may be difficult. Next I would remove it from the board and test again. Perhaps a cheap universal
inverter may be the answer.

I couldn't find the part # of the inverter transformer listed at any time. Maybe a number or letter is off? But I did find the entire inverter board for $14.40. That's probably just a tad bit more than you'd pay for a replacement inverter transformer by itself.

"I am now reading about 550 ohms on the right side transformer between the corner and any connector on the opposite side" That is not right either, only two pins (one side of the transformer pins are tied together and connected to the ballast cap) should show 560 Ohms or so, but with the other pins I get 312K Ohms.
I cannot find any replacement either.

Yep, that is what I am trying to understand what he is saying, the all 4 pins on one side of the transformer are tied together as I drew the circles with line connected all 4 pins.

Let me see if I can clarify.

On the transformer on the left side of the picture. The side with four pins all four pins have less than 1 ohm of resistance between each other.

There is no continuity between the left side of the transformer and any pin on the right side.

On the right side of the picture. the four pins are also connected with little resistance but the lower of the 7 pins has a resistance of 560 ohms with the side with 4 pins.

My assumption here is I have a bad transformer. I have verified the part number i gave you and they are correct. I can't find a source for a replacement.

do you guys have any ideas as to where to find one in the USA.

If not I will order the entire inverter from overseas.

I Google that P/N and no source for the transformer or the sub. How much is the new inverter board?
I see SJ has it for $20.

Iccfl has it for 14.40 but it looks like they are in china. I will probably pick it up from shop jimmy and hope i can break even on the monitor just to keep it out of the trash. It looks like a better quality monitor than many I have worked on.

That is very good of you budm, he will need to check if the sec winding on those
is the same as his, or should he be replacing as a pair so that they are aged the same?

It has the same P/N on the transformer, so I hope that will help him out from putting another monitor into land fill.

You guys Made my Day. Received the board from bud. Unsoldered the transformer and transferred it to the board I had and attached are the results.
