Could be tcon or bad connection, really hard to tell sometimes, boils down to getting it pretty cheap in case it's a type of panel problem that can't be fixed.

This set has no t-con , the LVDS cables go directly to the display. Disconnecting one by one does not help either with this tv, that could only be done with the tv's with a t-con.

Could be bad tab bonds, check youtube for tab bond testing and repair, must be at least 100 videos on the subject.

Thinking 75 bucks would be a maximum, then if it's not fixable you might recoop by selling parts but 180 is way too much to gamble on.

The LCD panel has integrated T-CON.
The FRC is on the main board.

They were asking $240 lol but could possibly get it lower. Looked like an easy fix but this time I'll pass.

Looks like Samsung has lots of unhappy customers, Samsung should have recalled all these sets.

Any idea what the problem ended up being with this one? I got a TV that looks exactly the same. Have you tried replacing the main board, or is this a bad panel?

Seems the fix is to replace resistors and ESD / TVS Diode pack
The video shows removal of the diodes.. I'd like to replace them (if I can see the darn things) and the IC is labeled 4263H and I can't seem to find that.. Any idea what this chip is?

you have to remove the long metal piece to expose the boards, like in the video, those resistors and any diode packs are on the long thin panel driver boards.

They are.. I just don't know what to replace them with. The creator of this video simply took them off.. I would like to replace them

No problem. The area has the flex cables, and using hot air, can cause more of a problem replacing them.. that's why I see they simply removed them. Let's hope there isn't any large transients on these circuits, and I'll go with replacing the bad resistors only. fingers crossed.

1206 100 ohm, maybe get 4 or so, replace the resistors, if no joy might need to remove the diode packs, might only need to remove one diode pack maybe both, might both be ok.

They are 51 ohm resistors not 100, they are marked 51R0.
The diode is ESD7004.

yes they are, the people replacing them were using the 1206 100 with success, that's what I would use but op can use whatever he wants of course.

Diodes: uClamp6514P (UCLAMP6514P.TNT) or alternative uClamp4014P (UCLAMP4014P.TNT) by Semtech
