For curiosity, do you still remove the EEprom / SPI chips from main board to read / write? With closeby SMDs sometimes becomes a bit risky job. I am aware that the programmer cannot power supply the whole board.... -
Hi, interesting as didn't know about this trick. Did this but with both connectors out and points shorted, the tv start rebooting sequence. Trying each lvds makes no difference.
I have swapped ic1603 ic1604 with a working but wrong panel board but still same problem.
The tcon is part of the cpu so no more places to look at. I have just ordered a replacement board with same specs and display.
I have managed to get the dumps for both ICs. Will post them later in the correct section....Leave a comment:

Have checked these points before and with both LVDS disconnected there was 3.3v and 0v,
However I have tried 2 other boards similar but different BN94 number and got a picture. 1 perfect pic (From UE55MU6400) and 1 almost B/W with lines.
Got the Panel no from Service Mode for the good picture board and tried to update the second (B/W pic) board as its identical board but didn't find a matching model out of all those different displays in SM.

I have confirmed that I have a mainboard problem.
I have tracked no hardware issued on board so might be a software dump required.
I have searched a bit but wasn't able to find anything for my screen:

JVC lt-32vah3000 no sign of life apart from Digital Audio Laser port is lit RED
HI,
Have this set that does not respond to remote functions. It is either bricked or main faulty as the power supply is on and mainboard supplies seem present. I have noticed the red light from the digital audio out.
This is an android on a vestel main board 17MB171

Have tried that already but it seems that heat doesn't change the symptom. After few hrs the set is very hot inside due to its old design....Leave a comment:

Old Techwood 32722HD Osd pixels on screen
Hi,
an old friend of mine wants me to repair this old (not worth it) model. Found standby only. Changed couple of swallen caps 1000uf 16v, 25v in power supply and set is on.
however noticed many digital pixel noise probably originating from OSD. When osd gies off they stay.
Am thinking a couple of caps near cpu.might be the culprit. But cannot afford much time on it anymore as this is almost a free repair.
Any ideas welcome. Pics attached. -

I have tried heating and freezing CPU / RAM / DC - DC convertors and all around board including HDMI chips. But could not conclude if the heat / freeze is changing the duration
So changing the CPU is a wild guess and I think is not worth the time and cost and risk after all.

CPU is SEMS31 BGA
Am not 100% if CPU failure as tried to heat it up and didn't conclude that with extra heat trips quicker.
I would need a GPU and a stencil. Any recommendations for a good quality but not too expensive solder and cleaner?

BOTH TV FIXED at last. Special tks to Lotas for sending me a good file to start with and all others contributing here.
Apparently I have been quite unlucky as the first 3 files downloaded contained errors and I had the impression I have bricked both sets.
The Graetz firmware worked immediattely.
Applied same firmware on Smarttech Tv, Tv revived but incorrect colours/bit rate due to different screen.
Have downloaded 5 more firmwares and finally found 1 that worked and had good picture, however required a Samsung Remote. Managed to Export the RC...Leave a comment:

With this firmware I have managed to revive the Graetz TV and seems all working fine.

I have followed this procedure as have done it in the past.
firmware update started but at 25% displayed firmware error and rebooted with no display. Now Standby button red on. Backlights On.

Graetz / Akai CV338H-T50 bricked after firmware upgrade
Hi,
The original fault was set not loading completely and reboots. I have downloaded a firmware on usb, tried the upload but midway says incorrect spftware and shuts down. I have blank raster now.
Anyone has experience on this mainboard?
In the download there are other apart from CtvUpgrade.bin

Am not aware where can I find pregrommed Chip. Will look up some more sites. As far as I know, sites like Aliexpress sell it new blank.
I have set the 'Hospitality' option to ON in service mode with the ue40k5607 main board in place. However am not sure if the apps installed on the original board can work n this replaceable board....Leave a comment:
