Can i have some feedback pls based on your experience what should i do next?
The COF at RHS of screen has these pins shorted 0R to ground. Have compared with LHS cof as well to confirm.
Am not sure if these puns go to glass or in cof chip. Should i apply some controlled power at 6v to these pins to try to remove the short? Or probably riskier as would resilt in tital liss if screen?

Digging further found that the problem is in one of the inputs of the high voltage protectors marked E5. No shorts read at any pin. Removed one chip as these might be leaky but on switch on this pin and 2 others as shown shorted to ground.
Had to mask a bit wider now to have picture back with same lines.
The short seems to cooming from one of the COFs further right.

If client is not happy with picture i would be tempted to apply some controlled current to these shorted pins maybe an internal faulty zener gets open... wishful thinking!...

A new mainboard from ebay sorted this out. Soent hours trying to repair the original power supply but without an exact diagram proved difficult for me to proceed further.

This chassis does not use the TL431 as have tried to locate it for hours

This part is almost identical circuit. The VSEN, FLG pins goe directly to the Backlight Controller HOZ1GN. I have had already checked Zener VZ806 but will replace it just in case. Also If I will try to force STB_1 ON buy cutting jumper W845 and trigering V826 stanby transistor.

Will update here of any progress.

Do you know if the power supply should be able to start in standby with the backlights connector disconnected please?...

Dear Lotas,

Tks for your feedback and I agree with your comment. However the backlight tested good. Correct me if I am wrong, but when the set is first switched on from mains, the Standby white LED should light up irrelevant of the backlights if connected or not. So this is why I think the fault is in the power supply.

It is foam double sided tape. This one

but i suspect it is thinner than original. I spent hours cleaning both surfaces and seems a good bond.. i didn't put small weight just pressed evenly aling side.

Am not sure what i do next as am not comfortable dismantling screen again due to risk of damaging screen or COF connections ،
