Diah - It doesn't help me to conceal the truthThis set i hung from the ceiling at a high-ceiling garage, 10-12 foot from the ground, and I'm the only one who uses the garage - kids are grown up in their own houses - Hence the "Definitely" - there is definitely a problem with the set, just not feasibly a physical damage

Hisense 65R6E3 double-image / horizontal strips - TCON?
Hello all. 3 years back, with your help, I replaced the LEDs on this TV. It's been working great. Yesterday, I turned it on (garage TV), and it has blurred horiz / vert lines as you see in photos. Definitely no physical hit or damage. Top 1/6th of the screen is perfect. Could it be main / TCON board? No tabs to cut on this model. Thank you...

Well, this is a bit anti climactic / bitter sweet - so I had taken the transformer off the board to replace it - a replacement is not available, this is custom transformer specifically made for Agilent. In order to get the plots R_J asked for, I soldered it back on, and miraculously the audible noise seems to have disappeared! I still got the scope captures at the output pins of the transformer, reference to pin 8 of the transformer "ACOM"
Seems to have been solder joint issue? Does anyone have other suggestions? Thank you for the help folks - great team as always. hover over...Last edited by jason123; 07-07-2025, 08:48 PM.Leave a comment:

looks like most ICs have some marker / dots on them. I took some photos below. I wish I were 20 years old.. no, this 50 plus can hear it. Seems to change with frequency output - I hear it most prominent at 650 Hz and up.. as you change the output frequency, it's like you're playing a musical instrument....

Yes, the initial suggestion was that the noise maybe coming from the main supply (AC to +12 Vdc)... i swapped that with my friends main supply and the audible noise was still present on my unit (noise followed the main board - not the AC/DC supply.) Seems noise is from / near the transformer on the main board. Trying to determine the "noisy" component...Leave a comment:

Hi R_J, the mic picked up the noise from that area - so I don't know if it's the transformer or regulator or FETs, ... I took T1301 off the board, and I was hoping to see a crack or something physically bad with it, but I don't - C1324 (560u) is one of the electrolytics and I just replaced with a brand new capacitor. there is a 10u in parallel, but I've never heard of 10u Ceramic with audible noise?? I see some posts online about people complaining about a noisy "Linear Regulator" but referring to +/-15 V circuits - not sue if it's audible noise or noisy signal. That's for designs with...Leave a comment:

Going Hi-Tech here, I got a microphone and started sniffing around the board - seems to be coming from the Big transformer in the middle of the board
T1301, Agilent PN: 9100-6089, Description: XFMR-PWR 11.88-12.12V/18V, Manuf Code: 53471, Manuf. PN: 31482R
Can't seem to find it anywhere. Any help? Could it be the transformer, or something else near it? mic can't be more precise I'm afraid.
