OK, thank you. On ebay there are allot selling already programmed but they €50 unprogrammed from europe €20. I seen on Aliexpress one selled that have like 500 sold and 5 stars, new and original supposable for €5+tax. I think I will get this and hope for the best.... -
Hi, I have a X7400PC R4.0, I suspoect the EC chip. The laptop have the 3.3V, the 5V, bios have voltage, arownd the ec there is 3.3V. But the laptop is dead no lights and no reaction to the power button press that have 3.3V. I suspect the EC, the question is if this chip need to be program or will program itself from the bios?...Leave a comment:

MSI Modern 15 A11SB battery discharge, LDO 5V remain on
Hi guys,
I have to fix an MSI Modern 15 A11SB that works fine except the battery is discharging fast with the laptop off. So I removed the battery and power just the laptop from the bench powersupply and it has an consumption of40ma. I found the 5V coil stais on after the laptop goes off. Also if i touch or probe the resistor ot pin 5 of the chip the 5V stuts down and no more consumption, until you turn it on and off angain. Its like this pins are floating or something.
dont think is the chip, because cheching pin 6 and 20 the EN for 3.3v and 5v they still have 3.3v... -
Hi, I have the same board to fix, with a blown diode I guess it is, is a TVS diode, its marked 156, Without its charging and works fine. Or its a cap, maybe its the PCB37

Schematic or boardview for 5B21L44855 IdeaPad Slim 5
I have this Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 with a burned diode, I think is a TVS. Im including the image of the diode and the second image where its located. With the diode out the laptop is charging and workingfine. Should I leave it out or replace it? (if I can identify it)
Or it could be the pcb37 a tantalum cap 15uf 25v..

you right, thanks. on alyexpress it comes as sy8386rhc, maybe they the same chip, the datasheet is sy8386 without any other letters, but I see there are variations, B,C, the B matches my Qq letters I think, so I think is safer to get the B. Thank you....Leave a comment:

Need help identify posible LDO from HP 250 G9
Hi, I have a HP 250 G9 , board LA-K203P Rev 2. If had a bit of liquid on the PQ2 IC and the IC PU301 is burned. My guess is that is a SY8288 or some sort but the problem is that this ghis is 4x4 pins and not 5x4.

I cant program it, I wire the programmer as #32 post, yet I keep getting Failed: PSoC device is not aquired| check conenction. The chip is properly soldered and can program from windows the c920 firmware without errors. I also tried to program a new cip outside the borad, sabe error.
But the sollution is easierr. the APL chips have input 20V, just when I connect the usb to port 1 the APL for usb 2 have 3.3v on pin 9 enable, and when i connect to usb 2 the pin 9 for APL for usb 1 has 3.3v on pin 9, must be a firmware mismatch. So I bought 2 APL chips and no luck, still the same. Im thining the firmware for the C920 maybe doesnt enable this chips. So I will try program the stock firmware. One question so I have to connect VTARG of PSoC 5LP to VDDD pin 31. But the VTARG is 5V and the chip expects here 3.3V should I inject instead 3.3V from a powersupply or its safe to connect the 5V of the PSoC?...Leave a comment:

Ok, so I reflow the chip and managed to flash the C920 firmware fine. But the APL3527 chip dont have 3,3V on the enable pin 9, I do have however 3V on the 12 /ALERT so EC think everything is fine. I could try to connect 3,3 to pin 9 see if it gets enable. I did tried just to test , to remove the APL3527 and jump pin 17 to 7 and the system charges fine. So the problem is that it doesnt get enabled....Leave a comment:

Ok, so I received the chip from Mouser also the CY8CKIT-059 progeammer. I soldered the chip and tried to use the firmware from lenovo c920 and flash from windows, and it gives an error, wrong device, so my guess is becuase Lenovo check where is a 920 or 930. To use the stock firmware from cypd, anybody have the pinout? Do I have to separate the 2 boards?...

OK, Im ordering the CY8CKIT-059 and the CYPD4226 from Mousser. So I first have to flash the CYPD4226-40LQXI_notebook from the SDK Project and then the firmware from the Lenovo C920? Or Just the hex hrom SDK Project is enough? There is allot of mixed info about, I seen some say they flashed the c920 and its not charging, some say they soldered a new chip, than with a charged battery and with a 5V adapter they run the update for the c920 in windows and it worked. -
I downloaded the firmware for the C920 and extract the .cyacd file and convert it to bit so it can be flashed. I will order the programmer and try it. It would be nice to fined the formware for the 930....Leave a comment:

Question, When tthe laptop is working fine, what voltages are on the fuses pf5, pf4? How about bypass the PD ny using a usb c trigger board, and set it to 19v, then take the 19v VBUS_OUT_P2 to the pin 15 of U227 or U228, this chip takes the VBUS_OUT on pin 15 and outputs pin 2 ADIN_LIO that goes to the fuse. So mybe the U227 takes the 19v y drop it to the 8V. I dont know, just an idea....Leave a comment:

I have a yoga 930 with the cypd4226 in short, I removed the chip and charged manually the battery and the laptop starts this way. If I solder a blank chip and update the lenovo firmware in windows, will update or what pins I need to short?Leave a comment:

Hi,
The chip bad, I cant even erase it. And the if is FF FF FF. I took a chip a MX from a hp board I think, same 1MB 3V flashed it with the firmware I found and Its working. Im uploading the everything I found about this PD controlled and the working PD software, in case somebody else need it.

Thank you, I will try it tomorrow, but I dont think the problem is the bios, the laptop starts on battery. Maybe the other bios is empty, and thats the problem why the pd is not negociating. Is the 25Q80DVN1G chip the correct one for the PD? its next to USB s,on the same side where the main bios is. I used the XGecu T48, I will try tomorrow with a CH341a and neo or rt809, see if I can read it....Leave a comment:

Hi, Im ataching the 2 bios chips, detals and also photo of the location of the 2 chips. The 16MB I had no problem reading the chip, but the 1MB was giving ID check error, I had to disable check id in order to read the chip. also looks like is empty.
