Hi guys, I need a bit of help, I have a Asus Zenbook with motherboard UX533FD Rev 2.1. Connecting the laptop draws 30mah and not coming on, Measuring the coils I got the values below. Measuring in resistance all coils have normal values, cpu about 8ohm and the gpu about 5ohm but I guess its normal. Checking with the thermal camera, the only 2 chips that have a bit of heat signature are the U3501 (pd controller) and the U3001 that is the KBC. Now I guess the PD controller it's not the the problem because the battery is fully charged and trying to turn on on battery is the same.
Just...

I did replace the IO board and the cable before, with the same result, so the problem must be on the screen itself. I checked the track from the scl/sda pins and they pass to a test point and from there i see it gows directly to the big connecter, nothing in between, so its either the main board or the screen, either way since the only problem is the auto brightness and for its age, its good as it is for now. Just to education purpose I will check where this lines goes from the logic board,

ok. Its working now. Pin 1 is the ground and its the first pin towards the speaker connector. I measured the voltages not on the pins so I dont short any but on the test points. Second and third pin was showing like 5V then droping same for pin 4. I should have measure the resistance with the camera cable connected on pin 5 and 6. Pin 5 or 6 i cant remember was showing 3,3v and the other 0,5v. Anyway what I did is desolder pin 5 and 6 that are the last 2 pins so they don´t make contact with the board, and now runs fine.
The fan speed its normal, the webcam works fine, the cpu usage...

Thank you for taking the time to reply, good idea, pin 1 is GND so the opposite is i2c bus. I will measure the voltages tomorrow with the connector plugged and removed but I think desoldering the 2 i2c pins should fix the problem, I´ll update tomorrow. Thank you.

Ok, I got it. I´m attaching the schematic and boardview in case someone needs it for the main board 820-3209-A and the schematics for the IO board. I see from the schematics that on the CAMERA/ALS connecter that pin 5 is scl and pin 6 is sda, I´ll check them tomorrow under the microscope they too small. Just to confirm pin 5 and 6 of the connector are the las 2 from the left wright? Maybe I can desolder pin 5 and 6 just to try.

What connector is this? is where the ribbon from the io to main? because the camera conector only has 4 pins i think.

Mac Air A1466 2012 cpu 300%
Hi,
I bought a mac air 2012 very cheap, because the customer didn't want to fix. After reflowing the ram chips the laptop works fine, I tested the ram and no error. But The fan goes at max speed after few seconds. Running the Apple diagnostic finds an error 4SNS/1/C0000008: Th1H--124. and the cpu usage is like 300%, After disconnecting the webcam cable that on the 2012 model is on the IO board, the laptop, the laptop runs fine, and running the apple diagnostic finds no errors. So the problem is related with the webcam, but I suspect the problem is no the webcam but the light sensor....

The RTC is 3.3v but the cpu vcore nothing, I removed the 2 coils, still no voltage, but measuring the resistance with the coil removed I get on the cpu side 0.5ohm and on the other side on Kohm range, my leads are 0.2ohm, so I think cpu is busted, but just wondering even if the cpu is dead removinf the 2 coils there no short so I should get on one side of the coil 0.8 or whatever the vcore voltage is....

Yes, measuring the 2 cpu coils to ground shows 0,5 ohm, injecting 0,8v on this coils, I het voltage drop to 0,5v. I will try tomorrow to remove this 2 coils so there is no continuity to the cpu, see if the 1,8V is generated on the board side....

Thank you. I´ll have a look. But I have the bad feeling its the CPU, like I said it was very dusty. The cpu resistance on the 2 coils is 0,5ohm, my leads without anyting are 0,25ohm, Injecting 0,8V on either of the 2 coils the voltage drop to 0,5v and the current jump to max IIf i limit to 1A will jump to 1A if I limit to 2A will jump to 2A and the cpu not pch will get hot on one corner. Maybe is normal....

Apple Mac Air A1466 820-000165
Hi everybody, first of all, Happy New Year to all the members of this community. I need a bit of help, I have a MacAir A1466 with a motherboard 820-000165-A. It was dusty like hell, but no water damage. The only point there it had a bit of green stuff maybe condensation it was on the SPI connector J6100 on pin 1 and 3. I cleaned the connector and the board and it looks mint, the water indicators are white and nothing that will scream bad.
What it does is, when connecting the charger with everything disconnected, the light goes green then orange, that its normal behaviour, the consumption...

HUAWEI MateBook D 15 AMD - dah98ambad0
Hi,
I have a HUAWEI MateBook D 15 dah98ambad0 rev: D, has a bit of liquid damage, a buck converter exploded, and few missing componentes that I need to identify. I clean the area and remove the buck converter, as well the first cam was short, now there no more short, plugging the ubsc I have 9v on the in of this buck converter.
Can anybody help me identify the components on the left of the tps51396 are, looks like 3 components.
Or if anybody can share a schematic or board view....Last edited by smic717394; 09-22-2023, 03:37 AM.

Acer Spin B118 - DA0ZHVMB8D0 not turning on
Hi guys,
I have a Acer Spin B118 - DA0ZHVMB8D0 Rev D, its charging the battery fine, and when charging the light is orange then gets blue. Pressing the power button, nothing apparently happens, no display power button led doesn't lights up, but I can see it on the power supply its actually turning on, it draws current, if I reset the bios, then I can see it on the power supply that it starts, the reset itself the starts again, but no image. All voltages are present, checking with the thermal camera, I can see the cpu gets warm, the ram chips as well, but no image, no backlight,...

i see the chip is the ME4056SPG, looks similar to TC4056A, can I replace with the TC4056A?
