iphone XS turns off when press on screen.

    Hi,

I have a iphone XS that came in for a screen replacement, the screen was badly cracked, and inside missing scues, on the back of the screen still the blue protector, the screen was a LCD. So we replaced the screen and all good, installed the screen and we noticed that pressing the screen with a bit of force but not excessive, the phone dies. After plugging the charger it turns back on, but again if you press it it dies. I open the phone again, and I can't see anything major, with the phone open, if I press on the logic board, battery, charging board, or even putting pressure on the screen while open, it doesn't happen, but, pushing the screen back into its position on the frame, the press it and the phone dies.

It's not the screen that die, is the phone, I had it plugged and see the amps gets from 2A to 0. The screen was installed on another phone to test and it doesn't to the same on another phone.

I would appreciate any ideas as I'm driving crazy.

I would consider to apply thin tape onto all backside of this LCD to prevent shorting. Be sure each of the shields are back onto the board like before. Appears that the main board stack may have faced a physical hit that killed the screen and perhaps removed the solder joint of an inductor or filter. Try to test with a piece of paper between this LCD and the main board stack. Cut the paper to shape and see if the phone still acts funny or not.

All the shields are back, alhow, the main shiend only has 2 screws left one on each side, still , it how it cames, it not the first time this phone has the screen replaced. It had another lcd no oled, and because was really cracked with no image I couldn't test it before. Anyway I don't think the problem is the problem is possible disconnect or fracture on the solder balls between the boards, because pressing on the board with the phone on and the screen attached doesnt turns off, also pressing on the screen while is out of the frame, does not turn off.

I will try to cover the back of the lcd, although there nothing that is touching as the board is cover with the shields, and the battery is non conductive.

Help with trying to fix phone that is not charging (Pics inside)

I have two TCL A30 phones.

Old Phone: This phone worked fine for years, then stopped charging If you plugged a charger into it, the phone would make the charging sound, the phone would tell you it is charging, but the battery icon would not have the charging symbol in it and the battery would not charge.I tried new battery, same behavior.

New Phone: Works fine, bought as a donor board to try and repair Old Phone

My interest here is to repair Old Phone, using components parts off New Phone if needed. I am not interested in replacing Old Phone with New Phone....

Lenovo Thinkpad E14 Gen3 stuck on "To interrupt normal startup, press Enter" screen
        by BMCappelletti
        Hi everyone.
Lenovo Thinkpad E14 Gen 3, stuck on the "To interrupt normal startup, press Enter" screen.
Found a lot of people with this issue, but with no definitive answer. Some people managed to get away accessing BIOS, going to Startup and turning off "Option Key Display". For me that only removed the interrupt normal start up message, leaving only the Lenovo logo.
Most people say hitting Enter does not work. It's true, if you wait a few seconds. But if you hit Enter right away you get the options to enter BIOS (which works), run diagnostics (goes to a...

Macbook 2017 with touchbar (A1706) won't turn on after removing the screen
        by Ryan.man
Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...

MacBook Pro 2011 turns on with keyboard light , screen dead
        by Rav_tangle
Hi all , thanks for having me & I think this has been asked before but my case seems a bit odd.
I have a MacBook Pro , board 820-2915a and it turns on , chimes etc etc , keyboard lights up, fans spins , can turn caps lock on/off but screen is dead.
Iv tried the resets , shine torch through back logo , nothing , it seems the screen has no power. If I plug charger , it charges but if I disconnect battery it displays green light but won't turn on. Iv tried screen on with another board & it works & seems I'm not getting any voltage at pin 2 , next to ground pin .
        is this...

iPhone X earpiece compatible with XS screen?
        by AJ847.63e
        Hi All,

Has anyone tried to use a XS screen on a iphone X before? I've got a old dead iPhone XS which I was hoping to use the screen on my iphone X as the glass on it has cracked. According to google the connectors are the same but some screw holes don't line up, but I'm assuming that doesn't matter as I can use some double-sided adhesive instead. Better than spending 280 bucks on a new screen when I already have a perfectly good OEM XS one.
