Yes Digi-key is the best way (next day usually), but if they don't have the part and you need, and you have to use Mouser, choose usps if you can wait about 10 days.
          I ordered some parts on 05 - Dec -2014 and they arrived on 15 - Dec - 2014

Except for some geo reason perhaps I don't have the usps option in my shipping options. Essentially that was the reason for my initial post.

I was told I could specify usps priority by adding it in "Shipping Instructions" for $6.99 but that doesn't explain why I don't have the $4.95 option available for continental us shipping ?!

And 10 days in preferable when the other option is China.

Are you using mouser.com (USA) or http://ca.mouser.com/ (Canada)? It might make a difference in shipping options?

The us site, I rarely use the Canadian equivalent site for anything.

Just tried mouser.com (USA) and shipping to Canada is $8 USD with USPS Priority for a single PTC. Same price, but 10 day delivery?

Try it for yourself and see if you can get a screenie like in post two or if you get mine in post 3. Btw on .ca mouser my cheapest shipping option for $0.02 resistor is $20 which just poisons me from even looking at Canadian equivalent sites.

because everything has to be more expensive in Canada.

Solved this Mouser problem by using Digikey - $3.54 to Detroit (under 8oz) in 2-3 days. Now that's more than fair.

No to long ago, it was $2.72.

My wife works in the D but we live just to the south in Canada.

Did your rates go up too ? I figured it was calculated based on distance but maybe it's a flat rate.

I have a Y50-70 gaming laptop. It has a problem where it charges up fine when the laptop is off, but when it's on, it doesn't.
I've tried a new 135w charger + new Lenovo battery and a new charging port but it made no difference.

I've updated all the drivers and still no difference.

Could it be down to a dodgy chip? I'll see if i can find a schematic and someone on here might be able to direct me where to test

                                Many thanks in advance....

                                Hello,

I have re-soldered the loose pins on the RAM slot which is a common fault on these models..

It charges and turns on the power LED but is missing several voltages like RAM and CPU do not come up which I believe is due to MAINON & SUSON being missing to turn these supplies on..

What I am un-sure of is what is the ITC chip waiting for to send out these signals, what are the requirements?
I have checked these lines in diode mode and they seam normal -> 600.

I have checked to see if they come on for even a fraction of a second...

If you press the power button, the laptop turns on and works from the battery, but does not take power from the power supply.
If you boot into Windows and close the lid while working, thereby putting the laptop into sleep mode, the laptop begins to charge the battery.
even checked it this way: I bring a neodymium magnet to the Hall sensor during operation - the screen goes out and the battery starts charging.

                                Hi Everyone,

                                I have a MacBook Air I've repaired, a mid-2012 13-inch 820-3209-A. It works. My only concern is that it is still missing (3) 22uF (0402 4V 20%) VAGX decoupling capacitors. Specifically, capacitors C1730, C1731, and C1732.

How necessary are these capacitors? It has (11) 22uF to begin with; missing (3), my board now only has (8).

I've been having difficulty sourcing new replacement capacitors without paying too much. Does anybody have any vendors state-side to recommend? Mouser charges parts + $8 shipping + $7 cutting fee (unless I buy an...

                                Hello everyone,

I'm facing an issue with my MacBook Pro.

When it's switched off, it charges while the battery is connected. However, when it's powered on, the charging stops after a few seconds.

Another strange thing is that when I disconnect the battery and plug in the charger, the MacBook Pro turns on and runs without any issues.

I've already tried using a different OEM charger, but no luck. I even swapped the charging port DC-IN, but the problem persists.

Has anyone else experienced this issue before?

                                Thank you!...
