I have found on when upgrading the firmware on some of the Toshiba TV's that I have to format the usb drives not using the quick format option. I found that if I used the quick option when formatting the usb flash drive it would not accept the firmware (this was when using a Windows 10 OS). Worth a try?Comment

Hello i come back to this TV after a long time. I think the problem is that a have an italy(EIA) version of a batv board that i bought from italy and according the manual they use different firmware from EUA and i cant find anywhere the firmware(EIA) for italy, does anyone have it?Comment

Diagnosed this TV as having a failed main board which I've replaced with one from a KDL 55HX850. They are (supposedly) the same board.
Being 'Smart TV' it requires a firmware reboot when you swap out boards such as T-Con or main board. It starts with a black screen and flashing yellow and green LEDS, indicating it needs that firmware boot. The procedure described all over the web is to put the software into the root directory of a FAT32 formatted USB drive and it should load that up once plugged into USB1 port. But not for me. Docker Type-C Gen 2 - Model 40AS. Was given to me by a friend for free ,but with the problem that you cannot use the video output ports.
All ports work , USB , Ethernet, Type C ... but HDMI + Display Port don't work

I replaced the mainboard on a KDL60w685a, and now it blinks green and yellow. I think i need to update the firmware. But it's not available from Sony website.
Does anyone have the firmware for this TV? -
So I bought another main board from eBay and the same thing happened.
I got the firmware file from the Sony website. My model was listed and everything matched.
sony_tvupdate_2011_4027_aaa_auth.zip was the file.
Extracted to a folder: "sony_dtv0FA10A01A0A1_00000301"
with file: 00000301_07e8046a.bin inside.
Loaded it into the root of an otherwise empty USB thumbnail bought from around the same time as the TV. Not too old, not too new.. under 2Gig.
The file reads perfectly. Lots of "disk activity"... -
Lenovo System Update offered me an update for the firmware of the Folio keyboard for my X12 Detachable Gen 1. The update got stuck and after 20 minutes I switched off the laptop.
