Sony KDL60w685a need firmware update

Hello everyone.

I replaced the mainboard on a KDL60w685a, and now it blinks green and yellow. I think i need to update the firmware. But it's not available from Sony website.

Does anyone have the firmware for this TV?

Maybe all the same KDL-50W685A (50, not 60).

Thank you. The mainboard in my tv was dead, so, i bought one on ebay. It now gives me a red and yellow light, from what i understand it needs to have the firmware updated to recognize the panel.

Ps: i can't edit the first post, maybe a moderator can fix the model number, in case someone needs this firmware

Sorry for the late answer, i hadn't much time to take care of this. The firmware worked fine, another TV saved from the landfill

Hi! Can you please upload the firmware again? I have the same tv with 5 red blinks and I want to try the firmware. I know that the say that it is T-CON problem but giving a try with the firmware may help.

Thank you. I have put the file in a fat32 usb on the root folder but when I turn on the tv it does start the firmware upgrade. Instead it starts the 5 blinks.
Has anyone experienced the same problem?
I can measure the 12V on the t-con (which in this model is embended on the panel flex and I can't just replace it) that comes ON and after a second OFF. Any suggestions?

For the update to take place, the TV must go into update mode, that is, the LEDs must blink one after another, try disconnecting the cable from T-CON and turning it on without the panel, then connecting it and turning it on again. (Or disconnect the cable from T-CON and turn on the TV carefully Without distortions, sharply insert the cable back when the TV is turned on, just be careful when inserting this cable!).

I had already test to start the TV without the T-CON cable with no luck. The same problem. How to put the TV into update mode? I also tried to reset the TV with Vol- and Power but it won't do it. I have a white light for 1 second only and then the red blinks starts. I have measured all the capacitor and the fuses of the T-CON and they are ok without any short on the capacitors and no blown fuses. I have seen in videos that the TV should starts normal (without video signal on the screen of course) but mine it starts the blinks immediately. If the T-CON was faulty shouldn't the TV started normally?

When you turn on the Sony TV, a self-diagnosis occurs, and if something is not working properly, it blocks the loading of the TV itself and displays an error.

check yours LED BL... put yours DM on each group and measure the high and low it goes at the point 1 second blink

Doubt it's a firmware issue, if you get 5 blinks and no boards were changed, then prolly is a tcon related issue, pretty sure there's no count number for tv needing update, if it needs update it goes with the two color blinking BUT sometimes a tv needs updated even if it isn't throwing the 2 color code.

I have manage to fix the 5 blinks. The problem was the tcon cable that the owner has destroyed when he opened the TV. And now I am dealing the original problem of the TV. It makes a noise on the tcon board and one of the flex of the panel is on fire and you can see it on the photo.
