To Lotas, if the tv shows an error code i think is in standby protected mode, it can't turn back to On mode.. To Dino: alternating green-yellow is typical of Sony when detected an hardware pairing change between mb<>tcon, you need to find the key conbination to force update, since tv is already updated it normally refuses updating... have you read the service manual?Last edited by Davi.p; 02-28-2023, 01:25 PM.Comment

Yes I saw the service manual and I read that you can't update if it has the latest firmware but I I didn't find anything about force update.. Do you know the key combination for the force update?Comment

When it enters recovery mode, it doesn't matter to it what firmware you installed on usb, as long as it is not lower than the one that is currently installed. How do you prepare usb flash for upgrade?Comment

I format it to fat32 and I unzip the folder to the root of the flash drive as the manual says.Comment

Diagnosed this TV as having a failed main board which I've replaced with one from a KDL 55HX850. They are (supposedly) the same board.
Being 'Smart TV' it requires a firmware reboot when you swap out boards such as T-Con or main board. It starts with a black screen and flashing yellow and green LEDS, indicating it needs that firmware boot. The procedure described all over the web is to put the software into the root directory of a FAT32 formatted USB drive and it should load that up once plugged into USB1 port. But not for me. I can see the LED on the USB chip flash for about... -

I replaced the mainboard on a KDL60w685a, and now it blinks green and yellow. I think i need to update the firmware. But it's not available from Sony website.
Does anyone have the firmware for this TV? -
So I bought another main board from eBay and the same thing happened.
I got the firmware file from the Sony website. My model was listed and everything matched.
sony_tvupdate_2011_4027_aaa_auth.zip was the file.
Extracted to a folder: "sony_dtv0FA10A01A0A1_00000301"
with file: 00000301_07e8046a.bin inside.
Loaded it into the root of an otherwise empty USB thumbnail bought from around the same time as the TV. Not too old, not too new.. under 2Gig.
The file reads perfectly. Lots of "disk activity"... -

Docker Type-C Gen 2 - Model 40AS. Was given to me by a friend for free ,but with the problem that you cannot use the video output ports.
All ports work , USB , Ethernet, Type C ... but HDMI + Display Port don't work
I searched on reddit and google for problem similar to that, and a LOT of people had fixed this problem by updating the firmware. So i tried , i searched and found 1.1.13 utility and 1.1.20 utility that can help...
