Hp elitebook 840 g5 bios password

I've been preparing to unlock the BIOS password on my EliteBook 840 G5 for about a month. I got a T48 programmer along with a WSON8 8x6 adapter, but after removing the motherboard, I was surprised to find that the EC chip was actually in a WSON8 5x6 package.
From what I've read on this forum, only the 16MB EC chip is compatible with RCUnlocker, and since I don't have an adapter for this chip, I'm stuck. Ordering a WSON8 5x6 adapter from AliExpress would mean waiting at least 20 days, so I was wondering—do I have any other options?
Can I unlock the main BIOS instead, or is the EC chip the only way to remove the password? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

The serial number on the back of the laptop doesn't match the one shown in HP System Information—I think the previous owner might have replaced the back cover. Should I reassemble the laptop and send you the serial number from HP System Information instead?
