So I found a boardview- apparently it has a MEC1653, can it be bypassed without replacing it?

Thanks, I don't have the laptop yet I'll check once I get it, I was holding off on it since I didn't know what MEC it had and if it could be bypassed but I guess I'll buy it and try the bypass, if I have any more questions I'll post them here

Also I think the X1 Carbon Gen 4 and X1 Yoga Gen 1 share the same board since I found the same schematic I found for the Carbon on a Yoga thread (which is ThinkPad Carbon X1 LRV-1 14282-2M 14282-3 as you said)

Hey! I need help since I have been able to unlock some models with yhis method (L390/T490/T14/P14s/P53) but this time I am having some hard time with a T495...

Board type NM-C131, shall have IT8186VG-192: I am shorting pin 7 (LPC_AD3) or pin 11 (LPC_AD11) from connector J601... I am receiving always the same errors (Keyboard not found, fan error) OR bottom tanper detection - press ESC (and than welcomed with the BIOS password screen).

Any advice/direction? After hundreds trials I am lost...

I'm having a bit of trouble, when I got it, it allowed me to enter the read only BIOS mode, kept trying to get the timing right and got into the bios but the security tab was missing and the UUID was ffffff- etc, i didn't save any changes but the lock icon changed and now I can't even enter the read only mode, is bricked? Or should I keep trying to unlock it and if so can you tell me what timing should I use? (I'm doing 1s of waiting after power on 2 seconds of holding and then on the Lenovo logo another 2 seconds, I also tried 1s short hold and 2s hold but nothing)

I read some other guy had "bricked" his and his BIOS screen looked very similar, is the only solution now CH341A or can that not even save it? Also do I really need to desolder the chip or can I just put some crimps on it

Well this is a pleasant surprise, I spoke too soon, just spammed F1 and ESC at the same time and it got me past the fan errors or anything else and it worked! I'm so glad thanks for the awesome method I'm gonna go enjoy my laptop now :p

HP G9 G10 is easy
downgrade bios a old 2020 - 2021 versions and patch it , or use dump old version patched clean me the same model laptop, working and bypass mpm .
