follow up of my thread here: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=41099
got my new rig built up and running. its a nice unit with a 4 core AMD phenom at the same clock as my old Pentium (left in the) D(ust). it has RAID and hot swapping drive controllers, and the all important IDE port for my quantum bigfoot. now with Se7en pro installed
it also had a graphics card installed and has a 400w Delta PSU.
i replaced the stock CPU cooler with one from arctic. i got for free since the fan was dead, and mind you the unit didn't even touch a CPU, it still had the layer of compound that the factory puts on the copper surface. a dell tornado fan was put on in replacement.
the main OS is OpenSUSE Tumbleweed running from the WD.
